Romance Packages - Splendour

Has anyone purchased any of the romance packages RCCL offers? I've read about them on their website and it sounded like a nice thing to do for my DH. Is it a good deal? This is our first time away from our kids (ages 1 and 3) and I'd like to set the mood early! ;) Thanks!

I can't speak from personal experience, but my dad purchased this package for my mom last Dec. when they cruised on Serenade of the Seas out of San Juan. She LOVED it... She still wears the robe, says it is fantastic. They enjoyed the appetizers/petite fours (spelling???) and the wine. I know it was pricey... but they enjoyed it! Hope this helps!:p

We purchased the grand romance package for my parents on their Alaska cruise in early june.

They were sent a cake by mistake with nothing else but I told my mom to call to ask about it. If mom had not called uson their cell when they arrived at their cabin-then they never might have received it.

Shortly after

they received a dozen roses instead of the normal flowers and chocolate covered strawberries 4 nites instead of 2. Guess it was because of the mistake of RC forgetting it.

Loved their robes and champagne-free picture and beautiful frame. Petite fours. Extra special room servive one morning.

I think that it is worth it because my parents LOVED it. They felt it made their cruise extra special.

But maybe you should let the person know before hand what to expect because if the ship does not send it no one would know.
