Mamato2.5 Posted June 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2013  My cruise was redirected due to a tropical storm, and instead of going to Belize and Honduras today and tomorrow we're going to Grand Cayman (planned, but now a day early) and then to Ochos Rios. I had things planned as far as activities before but now on a dime have to pick new things for Jamaica. The minor challenge is that I'm 5 months pregnant, so most of the tours in Ochos Rios won't allow me due to my pregnancy. To help guide your suggestions, my husband and I like cultural activities, nature, history (am missing the Mayan ruins we had booked for today ). We went snorkeling in Cozumel, so we're not crazy about doing a beach day or shopping, really. Any suggestions for fun would be good-- have contacted Mark suggested on this board and think that we'll try the gardens, but am unsure of what other things to do, as we'll be in port 8-4 ship time. Thanks for any help you can provide!
kcdancerkc Posted June 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2013 Not sure this is in time -- but check out rafting down the smoooooth Martha brae river - the banana boat rafts are mellow --- its the ONLY thing we haven't done in Jamaica after five vacations there! go to tripadvisor.com and look around. kcdancerkc Posted June 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2013 Also, grab a RED plated cab and that is the govt. cab that is safe to take you anywhere for a rate negotiated up front.
