dmwnc1959 Posted June 27, 2013 #26 Share Posted June 27, 2013 Would love to see photos of the cabin and balcony if you have it. Obviously trying to determine size of balcony - is it like all those posted - 4x9? All sun or covered? Thanks so much!!! Here's an aft aerial view. You can see D729 is partially covered with a deeper balcony:

Boating Fun! Posted June 28, 2013 #32 Share Posted June 28, 2013 We are sailing on the Royal next week. First time Princess cruisers (have done numerous Disney cruises) Our agent booked us a standard balcony that sleeps 3-4. I'm looking at these pictures and thinking....What was she thinking!!!! Where do the 3rd and 4th person's sleep....the balcony? In all seriousness, we have 2 boys and really not sure where they would sleep in this room. Our room is Aloha 502. It does say when I click on the room it accommodates a 3rd and 4th person. We also have 504 for our aunt and daughter. It only sleeps 2. I'm not concerned about the tight fit, although it is way smaller then we are use to. We booked this trip for the amazing ports of call and on cruises are usually so busy with all the adventures that our room is just to sleep. Just want to know that we all have a place to lay our head down at night.:) Any ideas?
Jemnibabe Posted June 28, 2013 #33 Share Posted June 28, 2013 Very curious if there are any pictures (or comments) regarding the size of the angled balconies under the Sea Walk? Or under the SeaView Bar? Not concerned about the privacy but interested in the configuration. Thanks so much. :D

It is my understanding due to head room, you will only want those down during sleeping times. :)

Pam in CA Posted June 29, 2013 #43 Share Posted June 29, 2013 It has been posted that the suite/elite/platinum evening event is held in Club 6 near the casino on deck 6.Doesn't look nearly big enough. I sure hope it's completely smoke-free. I'm not sure about the door being left open and is right next to the Casino.

Me3 Posted June 29, 2013 #46 Share Posted June 29, 2013 Oh wow... that's just so odd to see a lifeboat RIGHT against the balcony glass like that. I think I would prefer to not have that category of balcony. :( Think of it as a step up from an obstructed ocean view...barely obstructed (down) but the added benefit of being able to step outside to enjoy the fresh air and sea views. If priced right, it could be An affordable option for some. I had obstructed O/V for a Sapphire Alaska cruise....had this been an option I surely would have booked this obstructed balcony ! sue

Its very helpful!!!!;):D:) Hello, Please find attached some photos of the mini suite I stayed in on one of the 2 night preview cruises. Given it's location it is a very different layout to the midship mini suite, but we loved the set up & the balcony, albeit due to the wind we were unable to use it!! https://picasaweb.google.com/114133842550415618680/RoyalPrincessMiniSuiteL107Deck16Forward# Hope this helps someone.
