Swap out the TA's gift certificate for dinner?

I read somewhere on here that the perks/gifts you get from your TA may sometimes be traded for something else once you're onboard? We are sailing in 2 days (!) and I know we are getting dinner at Crown Grill for our group compliments from our TA. I am wondering if I can swap it out for dinner at Sabatini's? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I was once gifted a UBD that no one left the card in our room for. When I got a call reminding that I only had one more day to schedule it, we just received a credit.

I wanted to switch from Sabatini's to Crown Grill. I asked at the Passenger Services Desk, gave them my voucher, and they posted onboard credit to my account. I'm not sure they will always do this, but it can't hurt to ask.

take your gift of free dinner (you will recieve a card in your room) to the purser's desk and the will credit your cabin. then you can use it just like a shipboard credit for anything. Same thing for wine gift.

There should be no problem making the switch.

 

Just ask at Sabatini's when you make the reservation.

 

We have had no problem doing the resverse.
