Coming up on final payment for this year's cruises:

Braemar (Fred.Olsen) Nov 24 French, Spanish, and Belgian Cities Overnights

and for the back-to-back

Braemar - Dec 3 Voyage to the Islands of the Caribbean.

Both leave Southampton. The TA ends in Bridgetown.

Should be good. Fred is good for Solos.

I just booked the Adventure of the Seas, December 28, 2020 (New Year's cruise). When I went to book it, I selected the guaranteed inside rate, but it wasn't going through, so I called, and when I looked at my invoice just now, I see the guy put me in a solo cabin. I didn't know AotS had solo cabins.

Anyway, there's essentially no single supplement! The guaranteed rate I was looking at was $977, and when I selected it, it came up as $1002--just $35 more. As the cruise is out of my local port, I won't have a hotel or flight to pay for, so it's a good deal. Of course, I'll pay hundreds more for a drink package, internet...maybe a visit to the spa...so I'm not going to save that much by the time I'm done. 🙂

I'm also booked on the Star Trek cruise (March 2020) as a solo.

And I'm on NCL Bliss in November 2020. Even though the Bliss has solos, I decided I didn't want to be in one of those odd little cabins for 16 days, so I booked a balcony--a spa balcony. Tee hee.

Looks like I'll be on Bliss again.  Oct. 27-Nov.3 .  I won't be in a studio though, when all costs were considered a GTY balcony with reduced airfare came out around $200 more than a studio when the airfare was factored in.  As nice as the Studio/lounge idea is, the balcony was a better value for this trip.  My sister helped me realize this, she and her boyfriend are also going.

Well, after my trip in April I'd been on the hunt for another.  I finalized booking today.  I won't be entirely solo, my sister and her BF are going but we're in separate cabins.

I booked the Bliss again, Oct. 27, Mexican Riviera.  After running the numbers, and getting a quote from a TA to do it both ways, the difference between a GTY balcony and a Studio was less than $100 (with the Studio still less) when airfare was factored (as estimated by the TA).  That even factored in the removal of the solo discount in favor of the reduced air, and the fee for reduced air from my airport.  Made it a no-brainer, my first cruise in a non-inside room.  Oh yeah, that additional cost turns into money in my pocket when you consider that I'm also getting the excursion credit.  I only picked dining and excursion as I couldn't care less about having internet access and I don't drink.

66 days and counting...

Hi:classic_smile:, you might start a brand new thread with your question on it......or start it on the MSC forum because someone on there may have more first hand answers for you. (about cabins, etc).

I will be boarding the liberty of the seas in 5 days, this Sunday.  This will be my second cruise that I'm doing single.  The 1st one was 2 months ago.  I really enjoyed cruising alone. I was able to meet sooo many different people.  The only thing that I did not enjoy was sleeping alone.  But I didn't let that ruin my trip.
