frito58 Posted July 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2013 I know the route and know the times it stops but have searched and am a little unclear on where you find this bus once you leave the airport. Do you just go to ground transportation? Or is there someplace special. We will be flying in kind of late so was wanting to have figured out. Also do you need the correct change ? Capt_BJ Posted July 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2013 The Airport Flyer and six other Metrobus routes serving MIA has been realigned to serve the new Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) and will no longer enter the terminal area see: http://www.miami-airport.com/bus_and_rail_info.asp
fishywood Posted July 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2013 You have to take the "MIA Mover" monorail to the Miami Central Station (MCS) which is located at the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) which is a catch-all name for the combined rental car return center/Tri-Rail station. You will have to go up to Level 3 of the airport terminal and take the walkway toward the parking garages to get to the monorail; just follow signage for 'trasportation to rental car center'. When you get to the MIC there will be an overhead walkway for the MCS; go down to the ground floor for the buses. Exact change is required: $2.35 each, $1 bills + coins accepted. I don't know how late "kind of late" is, but last bus is 11:40 PM and as you can see you will need plenty of time to get there, especially carrying a cruise's worth of luggage.
