TikkiTembo Posted July 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2013 We really enjoyed our trip to the Fish Fry (Oh Andros) a few years back and were really bummed that weren’t able to go in May because we spent too much time at Atlantis. We simply ran out of time and did not want to make youtube as pier runners. Anyway, is the Fish Fry open every day? Does is ever close early? We plan to be back in Nassau on November 28 and I’m assuming that our Thanksgiving has no affect on the goings on in the Bahamas since it is a U.S. holiday. Also, what other restaurants at the Fish Fry do you recommend?

scubagirrl Posted July 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2013 Generally speaking, most Fish Fry restaurants open at 11:30am and close around 10pm. MOST are closed on Monday. Oh Andros is open Monday's but close early and has a limited menu. Since they are independently owned and operated, each venue can keep their own hours. Some will close after lunch and reopen for dinner. Others will stay open the whole day. With the exception of Monday, you can usually fine some choices regardless of the hour. On weekend, they are opened late, but the later it gets, the more crazy it gets, and food items run out. This is NOT the place you want to be late into the night on weekends. It can get out of hand. bunnyfoofoo82 Posted July 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2013 We were down in the fish fry area in January and came across a restaurant called The Anchorage. It was clean, the food was good and the staff was really nice. They were located at the end of the street in a purplish/gray building.

It's not a national holiday, so everything will be open, including the banks, but you'll be able to find a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and all the celebration that goes with it.
