CruisinKen7 Posted July 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2013 My wife and I don't have any interest in Sunbathing, Swimming, or doing the Spa etc. What Activities do they have for a couple of Adults on the Breakaway during Sea days when the Sun is shining? Any Lectures, Movies etc? Thanks
brianosaur Posted July 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2013 I've always considered 'eating' to be one of my major activities while on board. It's somthing I have to plan & schedule accordingly :D Not been on board BA yet but all other NCL ships I've been on have bingo, game room, library, shuffleboard, art sales/viewing, port of call talks, Q&A with ships officers, ect. ...and dont forget about gaming at the casino

Any Lectures, Movies etc? Thanks What's "etc." above? You could always read in the library. And there are movies, and chats, if you don't ever feel like leaving the atrium. You didn't mention whether you would be interested in any of the 5 water slides, or the Ropes Course which occupies 1/2 the 16th deck.... It's entirely possible that the Breakaway is not a good match for your interests. Luckily, there are many other ships available too. Breakaway is made for people who want to get up & go. IMHO. SliceOfLife Posted July 15, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 15, 2013 There is plenty of things to get into. Don't forget about bowling! You can take a look at the dailies I have posted in my signature so you can get an idea of what to do during the day at sea.
DisneyGem Posted July 16, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 16, 2013 I love the dek, my family does not tolerate the heat ans sun. My dd especially keeps busy with game shows, art, singers. If there are advancers, comedians, acrobat or jugglers on board there are meet and greats along with Q&A. Movies are held, I noticed on the other side of the Blulagon on GEM there were groups of people playing board games and cards. On the deck there are many bands and tons of activities going on to watch from the shade and loungers. Kereoke, dance contest to watch. Sooo many things the kid keep busy with and dh does his share on the food.
SciFiCruiser Posted July 16, 2013 #10 Share Posted July 16, 2013 If you enjoy the occasional drink, then you can check out a number of tastings. I went to a margarita tasting and got 5 small ones and a lecture about the various alcohols in them. It was about $15 so a really good deal. Plus I think you can share with someone if you don't want to imbibe that much. They also have tastings for martinis, beer, and mojitos.
