cruisinlawn Posted July 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2013 which dining room? would like to avoid Horizon if possible. I had read it was Portifina but wanted to ensure that was still the case. TIA:)
caribill Posted July 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2013 It will be listed in the embarkation day Patter. Most likely it will be the dining room near the Atrium on deck 6. Remember that the dining room will only be open until 1:30 PM.

Remember that the dining room will only be open until 1:30 PM. We'll keep an eye out. Have been reading recently that it is not listed and for whatever reason they've not been promoting it. We'll check them both. Thanks for the reminder about closing time. :)
pompeii Posted July 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2013 It was the Portofino when we cruised in May. No one seemed to know about it so there was hardly anyone in there. The lunch was fantastic, though!
cruise2relax Posted July 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2013 We always like to have the dining room lunch on embarkation. This is our first time out of Seattle with the "staggered" boarding. If we follow it, the dining room will be closed. We are Elite Circle members - how is the boarding policed?
san diego sue Posted July 19, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2013 We are Elite and plan to get to the port as early as possible. Last time we sailed out of Seattle, Elites and Plats boarded first. There won't be that many of us on board.(Elites)
sherryf Posted July 19, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2013 I plan to eat lunch in the dining room on the Star TOMORROW!! :D I will be having this... Ignore the staggered boarding. I've never seen it enforced in Seattle.
melody hounddog Posted July 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 19, 2013 sherryf - have a great cruise!! Post more food pics if you take any.
sminfiddle Posted July 19, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 19, 2013 We'll keep an eye out. Have been reading recently that it is not listed and for whatever reason they've not been promoting it. We'll check them both. Thanks for the reminder about closing time. :) At check-in, when handed your Patter, check the back page. "Dining Guide For Today Only" By contrast, the Pub Lunch on sea days will be found in the Schedule for late morning. Not in the back-page Dining Guide. For us, it's a must-do kickoff event to start our cruise. We get our Soda Stickers from the waiter during lunch too!
