Dubai - HOHO Bus

If you used the HOHO bus in Dubai, where did you go to get on? Does it stop at or near the Cruise terminal or did you take a taxi to it? Did you think it was worthwhile purchase?

The HOHO bus has a stop outside the cruise terminal. There is a ticket booth inside the terminal building shere you can puurchase tickets. if you buy tickets on line then you must have your voucher validated at the booth. FYI 2 of the large shopping malls run free shuttle busses from the terminal. Just have a look at the various booths. There is also a very helpful tourist Information kiosk and free wifi in there too.

We used US dollars for the HOHO in Dubai. It includes both the blue (beach area) bus, red (old city) bus, a ride across the Creek in a dhow and museum entry. We had a great day using this.

Yes you can use a credit card. We couldn't use our Amex but they took our Master Card. I think they accepted Visa as well.

Hi Ontario Cruiser, we live close to your old neighbourhood (near Edwards Gardens). We spent 3 days in Dubai in April before joining the Pacific Princess for the 4th segment of the WC. Sorry you will miss Egypt. We had the same thing happen 2 years ago.

You can also purchase tickets online for the Big Bus tours and they often offer a small discount. Just print out your e-ticket to show the driver when you board along with ID and the card used to purchase your ticket. In advance, you can also use AMEX. If you are staying overnight in Dubai or are here for a couple of days, there is now a free 3.5 hour tour of the neighboring emirate of Sharjah when you purchase a 48 hour ticket. Pick-up for this is at Wafi Mall at 3 pm. Combo tickets for Dubai & Abu Dhabi are also available. There is also a free App that integrates with Apple/Google maps.
