Ah yes, Princes Charles, Prince of Wales....Soon to be King Charles, King of England, Australia, NZ, Canada and a couple of other places. Not forgetting Queen Camelia.

Oh, sorry about the second cricket test folks, carnage it was.

My, my old chap how the times do change oh so quickly along with the foot in ones pie-hole!

Any thought of keel hauling that poor excuse of a Captain Cook that looks to be leading your boys to a nil - five whitewash down here this gorgeous OZ summer?

You wouldn't be Sir Ian 'Beefy' Botham at all perchance? He was also under the misguided delusion that poms can play the game they invented.

Amazing what can be done when lousy weather, pitches that aren't doctored to suit and 'Broad' based cheating isn't endorsed, eh what? :o

G'day Mitch I did not know thee were a cruiser, are you going to bowl at 160 km/h that is 97 mph in the English Language in the 40C heat at ye olde WACA?

Come on Aussie, c'mon, c'mon.

I had better depart before the Barmy Army come and get me. LOL.

G'Day Mate

Yep, we have fully been in cruise mode all series.

Did you enjoy the cameo yesterday, six fours with one leg in the air whilst playing conservative seeing Smithy to his ton.

George Bailey even thought he would bat one handed to give the old chaps a sporting chance.

If one wasn't mainly a bowler who knows what this wooden thing could score.

You know they tell me I have compiled more runs so far this series than any Engishman.

The poor old barmies got a little emotional at 129-4 then 143-5 but at 326-6 the poor souls were once again as quite as church mice.

I much preferred it when they were singing that I was rubbish, it showed that the Queen's finest really know this game.

Maybe they have run out of relevent songs with lyrics that actually depict current events.

Now here is one they could all learn;

speaking of which, is this not the quietest pub you have ever frequented?

Not like those larrikin Aussies yesterday, one wag yelled out as I walked off - What do you call a field full of pommy cricketers ?

A vacant lot.

Now, now that's not cricket!

This is it folks, the day that decides Ashes won, ashes lost, ashes still alive or series dead for England. May the Gods pass judgement on those who are worthy...

We had to let you win it back, otherwise, you'd have just thrown your toys out the playpen and gone off and sulked for a couple of years.......:D:D;););)

G'day Jo

Happy New year anyway.

To be fair, I would agree our entire bowling squad and wicket keeper especially deserve that high praise.

However our top five batsmen on the other hand were very inconsistent to in some cases absolutely ordinary!

Only opener Chris Rogers late form and perhaps Steve Smith get a pass mark, what that says for England is down right horrific. :(

They truly are the worst touring team I have ever seen in my lifetime.

I hope they do some soul searching before the one-day series gets underway.

cheers and regards,

H.

G'day Jo

Wife and I are cruising on the Royal Princess - Departure Date: May 23, 2014.

Baltics - Scandinavia & Russia out of Copenhagen.

A long hot summer and the first half of autumn is just as hot these days to endure before then.

That one-dayer last night was brutal, Capt. Cook was all at sea again.

The lads are in big trouble when Dave Warner is playing second fiddle to Aaron Finch (121) and they are resting Watto (Duck) from the next game.

I don't think they can get home soon enough.

Cheers and regards,

R.

What is the difference between the English Cricket Team and a tea bag?

The tea bag stays in the CUP longer!

Lucky most of you prefer a good pot.

Enjoy the flight home to Blighty yet again boys...

G'day Jo

How have you been? Any cruises of late?

Gee, that is the sixty four dollar question you have asked there.

I really think it is time to have a complete purge of those that have been too long entrenched in the comfy positions of the decision making process for selection of the team itself and it's captain.

There is something endemically wrong with the people in charge, garnered from the results over a long period of time in my honest opinion.

Anyway cheer up, you will probably get a laugh when we don't win the World Cup either. :)

Those pesky Kiwis are looking the goods!

Here is a couple of chuckles at boys expense.

:D

Even those titans of world cricket, Japan, offered a helping hand.

Japan Cricket Assoc.

Dear @ECB_cricket, this might not be a great time, but as there's room in your schedule, fancy a game in Japan on the way home? #challenge

Like it! :D

It's going to be an interesting season, for sure. There's lots of interest in the rugby, though, now...friends are flying out to Rome to watch Wales win...:)

We cruised before Christmas, but the only thing we have booked for now is a month next January- a round trip to the Caribbean from Southampton. Anything to get away from the frosts.....

Hold it, Dave.

Where does UK come into it?

The Aussies were thrashed by England.

Not a Welshman amongst 'em.

Not that we Englishmen gloat, despite such a masterful display of bowling & baiting* against a national team that can't even muster a village cricket-team score.;)

No. No gloating. Well done to your Australian chappies for giving it a try. After all, it's not the winning but the taking part. :D

JB :)

JB, I think you'll find it's the English and Welsh Cricket board. Not to mention all the Welsh players who have played.
