chris_sufc Posted August 15, 2013 #76 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Does anyone know if the Sunshine has freshwater pools or are they the typical Carnival saltwater? Thanks! Fresh. Serenity pool is bigger than it looks on pics and is great for a quick dip to cool you down. It isn't designed for swimming or fooling around. On busy sea days it does get full but it's still quite easy to get in and cool down. We have just returned and would generally give the ship a thumbs up. The main issue for us was the MDR being understaffed and the your time experience is not acceptable during busy times. Huge waits and poor service. near the beach Posted August 15, 2013 #79 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I think it would be sea water like all of the other ships. That would be a lot of fresh water used otherwise.
TwinPrincessMermaids Posted August 15, 2013 #80 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I think it would be sea water like all of the other ships. That would be a lot of fresh water used otherwise. Other cruise lines don't use salt water pools...
gailjen Posted August 17, 2013 #81 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Can someone corroberate that the Sunshine has freshwater pools? Definitely not sea water :) Serenity pool is bigger than it appears, my hubby Is 6'3"" he could lay flat on the outer shallow part and his feet would not hang over into the pool area. ON sea days it was never that full that you felt awkward getting in like you sometimes do in a Hot tub. The only other times it got busy was sail away.
