OBC Now on Cruise Personalizer

All of my cruises have the correct information (6 cruises).

Princess may be screwing up with the shareholders credits. I faxed mine on July 15th and waited. Nothing applied so I called them Friday. They said not there in their system as they are at July 23rd's faxes now. So I sent it again while the person waited, she received and applied it.

This is the third time in the past year that this has happened. I had started calling them after a few days, they find it and apply it.You will need to know the date and time you faxed it for them to find it.

It is such a relief to be able to check our OBC now. When I book direct it always showed up but now booking with travel agent, it is now there.

Perhaps if people were patient and didn't call after a couple of weeks, the Princess staff would have more time to process the requests.

People called because Princess often did not provide e-mail confirmation, even when requested to do so.

Exactly my experience from last month. Sent a nice letter, requested e-mail confirmation and did not get one. Called after a month and confirmed it was in place.

With this new feature, some, but not all, phone calls will be eliminated.

Thanks for the info. It is now great to be able to verify the credits on the princess website. In response to the comment about calling- I had to fax and call 2x. We waited the 10 days before I called the first time and they couldn't find it. And yes, they ask date and TIME you fax'd it in. The second time I fax'd and called back immediately and received a verbal confirmation they received it (shareholder obc). I NEVER received an email confirmation of receipt. The second one was finally processed 10 biz days later. TA called and confirmed . So, be persistent if needed.

Thats a good improvement and I'm sure it will save a few phone calls by pax chasing up their OBC amounts.

Mine are all correct but it does say that mine is nonrefundable when on my next cruise it came from a moveover offer.

I had a similar problem with my Shareholder credit.

Does anyone who got the free grautities promotion back in June see anything for that on this? Right now I only see a credit for the FCC I used. I doubt there would be a problem since I booked direct through Princess, but the Cruise Personalizer doesn't seem to show this anywhere.

Just checked ours over on PCL website. Our PCL OBC and FCC are showing up for both myself and DH, but the only thing that shows up on the DH for his military/vet OBC is 'Active'. NO exact dollar amount showing up. Is that strange or what? Also non of our TA-OBC is showing up either. We haven't had final payment yet..so no stockholders credit yet..since it is too early to apply for it.

:confused:Just wondering....do all TA-OBC show up for all of you? We booked online with a travel biz. How about the Military/Vet OBC...shouldn't it show a dollar amount?

There is no such thing as Elite OBC, so have to assume you are referring to Loyalty credit. This will not show up at all. You will just get a card delivered to your cabin.

I am not familiar with "loyalty credit". Is this something you get when you become elite?

Yes, and No it is given after you reach 21 cruises and the amount is $25. After 31 cruises it raises to $50 so it is after you reach elite status.

I wonder if we'll be able to cash out the non refundable OBC in the Casino and pay the 3% still.

Thanks to the OP for posting this new discovery.

I was talking to Princess on an unrelated topic earlier and happened to mention that it was nice that they added the OBC Tab. She mentioned that it was brand new as has been posted about earlier, and that eventually it will show the breakdown as opposed to the lump sum display. I guess that it depends on if your cruise record is accessed and updated by Princess. This is why some people see the breakdown and others don't.

I think the OBC from TAs will appear in different areas depending on how it was paid:

If it's from a Group perk using GAP points, then it would probably appear on by your other OBCs on the Personalizer.

If it was ordered by the TA as a perk from her/him personally, then it wouldn't appear because it is considered a "gift" and most gifts are not revealed ahead of time.

If the TA paid for the OBC out of her/his commission prior to Princess sending the commission out, then it might appear on the Personalizer.

My FCCs and a Princess OBC show up but not the prepaid gratuities or my TA $$. On my confirmation from my TA those are both listed as gifts. Did everyone get this note or is it actually an acknowledgement of the gifts out there??

I've pre-purchased the Unlimited Soda Package and Pre-paid Gratuities for both segments of my cruise and although I did receive an email confirmation neither show on my Cruise Personalizer. I also did this straight through Princess Cruises even though both bookings are held by a travel agent. He didn't know about it until I sent him an email advising him, and they probably won't up show on their in-house confirmation which is fine since I already have that from PCL.

Thanks for letting us know about this!

I don't believe there is any charge to get a cash advance from the casino, unless it's recently changed.

There's always been a 3% charge to get money from the "cage" .

Yes, I got that promotion and it does not show up on the Personalizer. On my confirmation from my TA it is listed as a gift. There is a note under OBC in my Personalizer that says gifts will not show up.

I also know that my TA $$ are from her commission and she buys the OBC shortly before I sail (and they have always been there). I get a card in my cabin so I assume that is a "gift" also as far as this software is concerned.
