Celebrity Constellation vs. RCCL Allure

I am travelling solo in March 2014 and have booked a balcony guarantee on the Allure for a 7-day Caribbean trip. But I am considering switching to the Celebrity Constellation for a 4-day Bahamas cruise in March 2014. Since I am travelling solo and am interested in the entertainment on the ship, would you advise that I stick with the Allure? Thanks.

Allure has the Broadway musical Chicago, plus a couple of aquatheater shows. It's going to be hard to beat that.

No comparison. 7 nights vs 4 nights - 7 nights wins!!! Allure - remendous amount of entertainment options from theatre shows to comedy club to several different night clubs, karaoke, casino, lounges, street shows, etc. Multiple dining options. Constellation - one (great) show option each night, 2 dancing options, a few dining options, a few lounges.

The ships are simply completely different - atmospheres, amenities, demographics, etc. Both are excellent for what they offer, both offer very different experiences. Constellation and Infinity are our favorite Celebrity ships by far, and Oasis/Allure are our favorite RCI ships by far. But, cruising solo, I think I would still go Allure as there is just so much to do and so many opportunities to meet people! And the full 7 nights - well, that makes the decision for me right there!

Enjoy, whichever you choose.

If entertainment is your largest priority then Allure is a MUCH better choice. So much more to do activity wise, especially for a solo traveler. Constellation will provide a more upscale, relaxing type experience (and FAR less smoking areas), but will have a fraction of the entertainment and nightlife that Allure affords. The seven night versus four night is also significant.

Absolutely. No doubt about it. Stay with Allure!

Is your guarantee a neighborhood balcony guarantee or an X guarantee?

The guarantee is an X guarantee. I have just been assigned Cabin #6288. Can anyone give me any information about the Jazz Club -- is it traditional or smooth jazz? Thanks so much for everyone's input! :D
