Moon Cruiser Posted August 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2013 I've read several threads about the self-serve laundry being closed on the Star when doing Alaska cruises. Is it possible to still use the irons and ironing boards, even if we can't use the washers & dryers? Or does the door get locked and we can't use anything in that room, even if it is just the iron & ironing board?
msk1 Posted August 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Just off the Star two weeks ago. Laundry, along with irons/boards, was fully operational. Even the change machines were well-equipped--a lovely convenience. msk1
f-mattox Posted August 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2013 I've read several threads about the self-serve laundry being closed on the Star when doing Alaska cruises. I was a little skeptical when I read this; maybe one of the laundries was closed for repairs--but there is a laundry on each passenger cabin deck and I've never heard of ALL of them being closed in Alaska or anyplace else. Mac Daddy Posted August 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2013 We were on the Star a month ago and had likewise heard about the laundry facilities being closed while in Alaskan waters, but the facilities seemed to remain open the entire cruise. The doors never seemed to be locked and could use the irons and boards at any time.
