crooser888 Posted August 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2013 All: Anyone use Cunard transfers recently from Southampton to Heathrow? We (2 of us) are going on QV in 2 weeks to Baltics and no excursions/transfers are available online yet from Southampton on last day of cruise. Anyone know the cost and what time the first bus heads out? Does it go to all the Heathrow terminals or does it stop at the coach station? I am leaning towards the option of self-help disembarkation with our luggage, taking a cab to the coach/bus station and then taking the National Express coach to catch a 1 pm flight. Thanks. The first one leaves 8.30-9am, calls at all terminals and costs $40-$50 each. If there are 2 of you it might be worth considering a car service from www.smithsforairports.com who charge about £70 for the car.

Doing it your self From Southampton Coach Station the cost by National Coaches is £19.90 about $32 so Using Cunard would be easier. Catching the 0945 will arrive around 1135 at Heathrow Terminals The links do not show Cunard although I believe they should so perhaps an email to them http://www.intercruises.com/cruiseconnect/index.php/contactUs http://www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx see http://www.intercruises.com/cruiseconnect/index.php/home and Are coach transfers available to / from Southampton? SEFlyer Posted August 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2013 I would endorse the Capn's recommendation of Smiths for Airports. I've used them before with great service. I have them booked again for next month for £71 from Southampton to Heathrow.
balf Posted August 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2013 After a Cunard cruise I don't think I would survive coming down to National Express. I have used Smiths and could not fault them. David.
Penzance Posted August 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2013 We've used Smith's for Airport twice and highly recommended them. Especially once when it was teeming down with rain on our arrival and the driver insisted we stayed under shelter while he got the car. Dealing with luggage, a taxi and then the coach would certainly be a hassle and time consuming, especially when you have to be at LHR at least two hours prior to your flight. Rare Scrapnana Posted August 17, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Sorrry to highjack thread. How far in advance do you book Smith's? Is it too early for me to book for January?

I think that the earlier you book, the better. Get a firm price from them for the job though.
