New propulsion problem on Millennium

Yes - Millennium does have a better Alaska itinerary. But after reading here on cruisecritic about the long history of mechanical problems with the Millennium-class ships, we have opted instead to book the Solstice cruise out of Seattle on August 8, 2014.

I'm afraid I am done with Millennium.

Reflection is a Solstice class ship which had well documented engine problems after her launch - mechanical problems can hit the "S" class just as easily as "M" class or indeed any other ship afloat.

No ship is immune to issues from time to time.:(

......... especially when you consider that they require passengers to pay for the cruise in full 75 days in advance.

So they are able to process payments immediately, but are still unable to process refunds 3 weeks after cancellation.

Annoying, but welcome to the travel industry.

3 weeks is actually fast compared to airlines and many other cruiselines, sadly.
