vamartha Posted August 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Now, who was it? I remember there being detailed instructions posted in the middle of someone's review about how their DH was able to find an adjustment knob somewhere almost hidden in the back of the refrigerator/cooler and adjust the temp. I've searched high and low, adjust fridge, adjust refrigerator, adjust temp! I know I must be using the wrong search terms, or maybe the thread was deleted but I sure would like to find it. I'll print those instructions and put them in the safe! :D Am I the only one who remembers it?
golfadj Posted August 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Dont remember seeing it. We leave wooden door open and that circulation helps to make stuff reasonable cold
Rosefloater Posted August 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2013 We just leave the wood door slightly open using a washcloth. But on 1 cruise, our room steward kept removing the wash cloth and I kept putting it back.
RhondaC Posted August 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2013 You might be thinking of a post awhile back about how to adjust the AC. Somebody posted a detailed explanation about that.
RWolver672 Posted August 23, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2013 I do remember that posting. The person said that you have to leave the wooden door open so that it can get air and there supposedly is a control in the inside at the top towards the rear. The last time we cruised, I forgot to look to see if it was there. Good luck.
golfadj Posted August 23, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2013 From everything i have heard it does not have the power to make things very cold.
FlaGrl4Evr Posted August 23, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 23, 2013 I remember that thread. I believe the poster stated that he/she laid on their back, looking into and up, and saw the temp dial from that angle. From just looking square into the fridge you cannot see it. . Sargent_Schultz Posted August 23, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 23, 2013 For those who think the rooms are too warm, leaving the outer door open would contribute more heat to the room. They are coolers, not refrigerators, so there won't be any miracles temperature wise. They do work the same in that they remove heat from inside the unit and transfer it to the outside. Li'lImp Posted August 23, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 23, 2013 first post in the thread below describes the location of the fridge controls... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=38182294&highlight=fridge+control#post38182294

That may be true, but you could be amazed at what giving the unit some air circulation will do for the temp of the drinks inside. We not only leave the door to the cabinet completely open, but the last time we put our small fan in front of it too. Room steward was told that was how we wanted it.
