She has a masters in Art History and she was fantastic at describing the works of art, who created them, what technique was used, and why they are of importance. yokeagan Posted August 24, 2013 Author #16 Share Posted August 24, 2013 After that, they took us across San Pietro Piazza (there was quite a bit of scaffolding up there because they are cleaning the columns and such. Then we went across the street to a "gift" shop. Personally, I would have skipped this gift shop for one in the Vatican or at least spend more time in the square. I recommend that you walk back over to the square and walk around until it is time to meet the bus. Great day. Very full day. We were the first ones off the boat and the last ones back on. There is a lot of walking involved, so if you have mobility issues, this may not be a good tour for you.
