amberdc87 Posted August 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2013 We are sailing on NCL in November and I'm looking for the best spot on 7 mile beach for kids. We will have a 4, 3, and 2 year old. Also maybe something close to a place to snorkel? I really want to do that. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
caribsun Posted August 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Public Beach has a playground and water toys, shelter, restrooms and showers. Calico Jack's Beach bar is right next door and just beyond CJ's the water has some rocky areas for snorkeling.

caribsun Posted September 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2013 All of 7 Mile Beach is free. Some of the beach clubs will have a admission charge, Public Beach is free.

drew sailbum Posted September 4, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Seven Mile Beach Public Beach can be reached by shared taxi directly from the port (usually about US$5-6 per person) or by public bus (US$2.50 per person). The public buses depart from next to the public library on Edward St, about two blocks from the port. There are usually some entrepreneurs renting chairs near Calico Jacks. There are a few large cabanas free for your use on a first come, first served basis. There may be a few food trucks to choose amongst in addition to the offerings at Calico Jacks. Often there is an ice cream truck, and others offering burgers or jerk chicken. Across West Bay Road from the southern end of SMB Public Beach is the Trafalgar Place center with a decent barbecue place, Dukes. It is a quieter option with lots of shade if you are so inclined.
