K4Windy Posted August 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Good Morning, I am looking for some advice on applying gift cards and certificates to an existing booking. Next March, I am taking a trip of a lifetime to Australia/New Zealand and booked the Celebrity cruise portion 15 months in advance...I am a planner!! A little background - In the meantime, I left my former employer after 10 years of service for a great new opportunity. In honor of my service and for my love of travel they gave me a Celebrity Cruise Gift Card and a Gift Certificate to use on my travels. However, when I called Celebrity to apply them to my booking, I was told they can only be applied to a new booking and can't be used for onboard credit. Has anyone else heard this or have a work around? My outside travel agent that booked the trip is calling Celebrity directly too but didn't know if there was anything else I should be trying. I am desperate to use these gifts on this trip for the thoughtfulness and I honestly don't know when I will be on Celebrity again. Thank you in advance for your advice, Katherine

Stateroom_Sailor Posted January 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2014 Maybe cancel and rebook your cruise, if you aren't past the deadline? Other than that, they'll be going towards your next cruise. Oh and it's a thousand max per cruise, at least for the certificates. We're using our other half on the Bermuda repositioning cruise in 2016, so join us ;)
