jessicak76 Posted September 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Hi All- Which night did the Breakaway offer the small lobster tails on the buffet? Is it always the same night on each sailing? Just curious. Thanks!
1witchydiva Posted September 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Hi All-Which night did the Breakaway offer the small lobster tails on the buffet? Is it always the same night on each sailing? Just curious. Thanks! I have read a few times on Monday, at the Garden Cafe. I have always read Monday. Of course they can change it. I believe it used to be the day of embarkation on other ships. time2cruise1 Posted September 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2013 It has been posted it is the second night every week since they stopped the first night in the main dinning room to eliminate the crush.
Ilovesailing Posted September 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2013 That must be fun everyone trying to get the rubber lobster and loading up, no thanks.
NYcruzzer Posted September 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2013 That must be fun everyone trying to get the rubber lobster and loading up, no thanks. A server doles out two at a time. No limit how many times you can go up and get more. Lines were not huge. They were actually very tasty. They also served grilled steaks and other seafood options. tempura Posted September 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2013 There should be another word for "lobster" from a cruise ship buffet, sort of like there should be another word for "pizza" from Domino's.
cmpski Posted September 3, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2013 There should be another word for "lobster" from a cruise ship buffet, sort of like there should be another word for "pizza" from Domino's. We always refer to Red Lobster as Red Loobster. That could work here.
tempura Posted September 3, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 3, 2013 We always refer to Red Lobster as Red Loobster. That could work here. Uh oh... watch out for the Red Slobster police. I vaguely remember someone getting offended when I made a comment to that effect because they had worked there for 20 years and all of the seafood was always "fresh and delicious." :D

The lobster was very good and no lines at all and my sailing had over 5,000 people onboard.
NYcruzzer Posted September 4, 2013 #15 Share Posted September 4, 2013 The lobster was very good and no lines at all and my sailing had over 5,000 people onboard. I said the same thing. Yet people who may or may not have actually sailed on the Breakaway are sure they are rubbery.
doones2 Posted September 5, 2013 #16 Share Posted September 5, 2013 If I remember correctly the lobster served on cruise ships are more like a very large cray fish. No claws only a tail. I could never figure out what the attraction is. A real lobster comes from the cold waters of New England.
Nyc2tropics Posted September 5, 2013 #17 Share Posted September 5, 2013 All I know is I enjoyed the heck out of my 2 Lobster tails on the Jade this past June. And I'm looking forward to them on the Breakaway next month!

Just wondering how the Seafood Night in the Buffet is working out. What time did you go? Are there lines earlier? If you go later does the lobster run out?
