Cigar Dude Posted September 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2013 I know we have priority with tenders but what about regular "walk off the ship" departures when ashore? Do we wait like everyone else or are we whisked off the ship quicker? :D
bmckim Posted September 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2013 Unfortunately, you will be waiting in the staircases like everyone else.
cruizinisthebest Posted September 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2013 No whisking off of the ship earlier.:) Only once did I have to wait in line anyway and that's when I had an early excursion booked. After a short while you usually don't even have to wait to get off. At least that's been my experience.
2 cruzen Posted September 11, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 11, 2013 Where do you meet for tenders when you have FTTF?
cruise_girl2002 Posted September 11, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2013 we went to get early tender tickets when they started handing them out, showed them I was platinum, she told us to go to guest services. From there we were escorted to the very front. go to guest services, they will help you
WhoDat2009 Posted September 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2013 I just got off the Conquest Sunday. There was not really a priority call for FTTF. However, there is a dining room right next to the disembark area that we received a letter asking us to meet at 7 am for self-assist and 8:15 for checking luggage. When you met there, they physically put you at the front of the line before they called for self-assist passengers from the stairwells. We were through customs and in a cab by 7:15. Do we wait like everyone else or are we whisked off the ship quicker? :D I was on Splendor 2 weeks ago and had FTTF and we definitely had a "special" line for walking off in port. Where everyone was going down one side of the staircase, we had our own. Nothing getting back on the ship though.
megnut78 Posted September 12, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 12, 2013 I guess it must be different for every ship, because when we were on the Splendor two weeks ago, there was a separate line on the stairways for FTTF for each of the ports and we didn't have tender in any (San Juan, St Thomas and Grand Turk)

maldenmusic Posted March 20, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 20, 2014 We have FTTF purchased for our June cruise; can't wait to see if it actually makes a difference.
LONGTIME WAIT Posted March 20, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 20, 2014 We had it on last cruise. We had priority for every disembarkation, even at the very end

silorchic Posted March 21, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 21, 2014 We had FTTF and they put us in the Rome lounge and let all the self assist off faster. I could have carried my bags and got of the ship way faster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jay49307 Posted March 21, 2014 #16 Share Posted March 21, 2014 With FTTF you go to the Guest Services Desk and they walk you down for the Tender. Just an FYI FTTF just means you get to sit on the tender longer while the rest of the people get on it. Never had to wait for a walk off port though. Enjoy your cruise

abccruise Posted March 21, 2014 #18 Share Posted March 21, 2014 On the Splendor, is the special line or stairway marked for FTTF? That is great news!!
Sparky2 Posted March 21, 2014 #19 Share Posted March 21, 2014 Does anyone know if they are doing separate lines in the Liberty? This past January on Liberty, they did not have a special line for FTTF or Platinum just to get off the ship in a port. Only for tenders.

He was asking about just getting off of the ship at a non-tender port.
Rare 1kaper Posted March 21, 2014 #21 Share Posted March 21, 2014 I was on Glory recently with FTTF. We did not have a separate line to leave the ship at ports (there were no tenders). I have read a number of people on different ships who have. I also never asked. I'm curious to know if it is on all ships or just some.
mamagina Posted March 21, 2014 #22 Share Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) There was priority disembark in Nassau on the Splendor. They really didn't announce it in Port Canaveral or Freeport although Guest Services told us it was only for Disembark in NY: On the evening before Nassau we asked Guest Services if there was any sort of Priority disembark for Platinum or FTTF because the cruise director asked everyone for cooperation getting off in Nassau because there usually is a rush in that port because everyone wants to get on with their private excursions and plans quickly. He specifically said not to come down to the gangway until he made announcements to do so even though we will be docked for a while--local authorities have to clear the ship. We are Platinum but guest services said priority disembark was only for our departure in NY. Well, we were sitting having breakfast and the cruise director reiterated his warning not to come down to the gangway and then only five minutes later he says "OK, we will begin our disembark with our Diamond, Platinum and FTTF guests who should be ready now on the Starboard lobby staircase." LOL! We missed out on that!!! Edited March 21, 2014 by mamagina
MichelleChell Posted March 21, 2014 #23 Share Posted March 21, 2014 We had it last March on the Magic and got priority in Cozumel. We showed our cards and they sent us down a separate stairs then the others.
Seany527 Posted March 21, 2014 #24 Share Posted March 21, 2014 Up until literally the past two weeks I had never really heard of it, but now it appears to be somewhat more common? Either way, that would be great if they end up always doing that!
Raven Days Posted March 21, 2014 #25 Share Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) I had FTTF on the Magic last year and I went to guest services and was then escorted to the front of the line for the tender in Grand Cayman...I had about a 1 minute wait compared to those in line behind me.
