MikeyA53 Posted April 15, 2014 Author #1801 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Mike I love your reviews. I found this B2B review a few weeks ago and could not stop reading. I am going back and reading all your reviews. I just started your pride review. Your reviews are like reading a great book that I just dive into. It snowed a few inches here today in Ohio so I am trying to imagine a cruise to anywhere warmer. Thanks for the great reviews!~!~! Thank you so much, glad you are enjoying the reviews. :)
MikeyA53 Posted April 15, 2014 Author #1802 Share Posted April 15, 2014 The show rated the best of the strip is Cirque De Soleil's The Beatles Love. We've seen it twice and we loved it....great show! Don't miss it! We had a very difficult time deciding between three Circle de Soleil shows. It was between 'O', 'Love' or 'Mystere' and we finally decided on Mystere because we are seeing 'Le Reve' which is similar to 'O' and B- A Tribute to the Beatle' which I'm sure is not anything like 'Love' but still a beatle tribute. Thanks for the suggestion. Mike

valsdancin Posted April 20, 2014 #1806 Share Posted April 20, 2014 Hi Mike! I've lived in Vegas for 18 years. Wow!! I can't believe it's been so long. I agree Circus Circus and Adventure Dome may be worth skipping. The only saving grace, I think, is they have a new roller coaster which just opened. I haven't been on it, but the last time I was there (last year) all the rides were jerky and very uncomfortable. I love roller coasters and amusement park rides, but these were just not fun to me. Definitely be safety aware down by the Stratosphere. The first time I was taken down there when I moved to Vegas my boyfriend at the time told me to duck my head when we got close to keep from getting hit by flying bullets. I've been down there many times since then and never had any trouble. I do not walk around the neighborhood at night though. The Stratosphere restaurant is okay. The best part is the view as the restaurant rotates, and you get to see the entire valley as you eat. The Eiffel Tower restaurant is excellent. The food is delicious. If you eat there, try to get a window seat if you can. Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire are both great places to visit. Red Rock has lots of hiking and rock climbing. Valley of Fire is great for hieroglyphs. Let me know if you have any questions for a local. I'm happy to answer any I can. :) Valerie

We plan on going to 3 or 4 during our 10 days in Vegas. As of now we have 4 picked out, The Village Buffett, The Spice Market Buffett, The Carnival World Buffet and the Winn Buffett. Thanks Valerie Edited April 21, 2014 by MikeyA53

You actually asked me the one thing I have no experience with. I don't go to buffets because I don't feel like they are cost effective for me. I can't eat enough to make it worth the money. I tend to get full on my first plate of food, lol. I believe, from what I've heard, the Carnival World Buffet is one of the better ones in town. I'm not sure about the others. Boozebabe Posted April 23, 2014 #1817 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Mike... the Wicked Spoon Buffet at the Cosmopolitan is best I have ever had. And I have eaten just about everywhere in Vegas during my 44 trips there. Rio buffet was disgusting. Place was filthy, food all over the floor, no one bussing tables, AND the food was not good. I will never go there again. Spice Market has always been great. For the price I would do Wicked Spoon over Wynn. Wynns selection isn't nearly as large as WS. Another fabulous buffet that not many know about is at M Casino. M is located on the Strip about 9 miles toward California. It will make sense after you get there. Just keep driving on the Strip past Mandalay Bay and go another 9 miles or so. Huge beautiful hotel and casino sitting all by itself on the left. Beer and wine is included plus you can get Baileys or Frangelico, etc. in after dinner coffee. Artisan breads and desserts are to die for.
Boozebabe Posted April 23, 2014 #1818 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Hello, Can someone please tell what this is? Looks like a door to cover the door? Sorry if it had already been addressed. Regards, Kevin Reid It is exactly that. It is an extra door only on cove balconies. In case of REALLY BAD (God forbid) weather, the crew will close that steel door from outside and lock it so you can't go out there. Believe me if it were that bad you wouldn't want to be out there anyway. You still have a window for a view. I have never heard of the doors actually being locked. Boozebabe Posted April 23, 2014 #1820 Share Posted April 23, 2014 I knew there was a reason I have no desire to be in a cove balcony:D I never want any other type of cabin. I loved being closer to the water. I would never be on my balcony if it were on a higher deck if the weather was horrible either. I think those doors should probably be on all balconies for the same reason they are on the coves. We were on a cruise once where we had horrendous seas and I would have given anything for one of those watertight doors. Believe me, I WILL NOT be on my balcony no matter what deck if theres a bad storm.

Captain Canuck Posted April 24, 2014 #1824 Share Posted April 24, 2014 if you want a picture at the vegas sign it is on Vegas Strip south..entry is on the left and the turn lane is on the left. can also enter it going north and again entry is from the left lane. factory outlet mall is south of the strip too...one of 2 actually. another one that looks like it has sails for a roof is on the north side of town. Ms. Fun Bunch Posted April 24, 2014 #1825 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Hi Mike, I'm going to Vegas in May. I love Vegas it is one of my favorite cities. My group is staying for a week at the Wyndham Grand Desert. I have stayed at Tahiti Village before and loved it. We are going to try the Wicked Spoon and also have a tour booked for the Grand Canyon. We normally spend most of our time gambling but this time we are doing more sightseeing and shows. You & Tracy are going to love Vegas!!!!
