You have to hold 100 shares to get the credit. I have to look more heavily into it, but I'm not big on holding individual stocks and / or trying to time the market, preferring mutual and index funds. For those that have held for a number of years though it certainly has been worth it.

One of the members of my group was holding a FCC; I wonder if they can apply it?

Hi, depends on the date of the FCC:

Please note that as of December 31, 2008, the shareholder benefit offer is not combinable with other onboard credit offers, general loyalty offers, upgrade offers, chartered sailings, certain group sailings, "dollars off" promotions, certain reduced rate offers and savings certificates. For bookings made prior to December 31, 2008, the Shareholder Onboard Credit is combinable under certain conditions. Please direct queries to investorrelations@rccl.com and a prompt response will be forthcoming.

Booked 4 cabins for Oct 26, 2014 sailing. My cabin is an accessible one on deck 6 and the rest of my party is on deck's 7 and 8. This will be the first promenade cabin for all of us. The price got us but will we really like these cabins? Some of us have done outside balconies, boardwalk balcony, inside, and oceanview. Please tell me I made the right choice for my group.

Hi, This is a copy of a part of the certificate :

Itinerary Savings/Stateroom Offer Code

Ship Departure Date(s)

This savings certificate expires on December 31, 2013.

7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise $150.00 USD/Deluxe/Suites HBEK

$150.00 USD/Balcony HBEK

$150.00 USD/Outside HBEK

$75.00 USD/Interior HBEL

Freedom Of The Seas 2014: 26 Oct , 07 Dec

In post # 58 there is a different code listed . perhaps it is also correct , I do not know ....... the code HBDZ is used on my certificate for this year sailing on the Freedom ( Dec1, 2013 ).

HBDZ was the code for the july 1-September 30 savings certificate. When the certificates are carried over another quarter, they change the codes.

I think you will be fine, particularly if you have done an inside cabin before. Take a look at some pictures -

https://www.google.com/#q=freedom+of+the+seas+promenade+stateroom+pictures

These cabins are slightly larger with a banquet under the window and a love seat. It would be possible to host your entire group in the cabin for pre dinner cocktails - 4 people on the banquet, 2 on the love seat, plus the cabin chair and seating on the edge of the bed. The big window makes the cabin seem even more spacious.

The down side that I found with these cabins as a solo traveler was that the bed was sideways in the cabin close to the closet and bathroom and you had to walk around the edge of the bed to get to the seating area. For me alone it was not worth the extra money, which is certainly not an issue with this deal. With two people you should enjoy the extra space.

These deals are just too hard to pass up! I'm going to finally give the Freedom a try!

Just booked 10/26/14 sailing, oh yeah there is also a savings certificate! Final cost for solo $573! Unbelievable :D:D

I have a few pics of Accessible PR cabin 8315 if you are interested in seeing them. I imagine 6315 or 6615 is laid out the very same way.

I enjoyed the cabin very much. Plenty of room to get around in my wheelchair.

I keep thinking about how lucky those of us who booked at this price are. I can't imagine a 7-night cruise on a Freedom-class ship for $369/person, and I've been wondering whether Royal Caribbean has had rates on a 7-night cruise this cheap before. I would imagine that it's happened in the past, but I can't imagine it's happened often, more like a "blue moon" special.

I agree - I was totally floored by the price - which is why I started the thread. The Freedom is a great ship and to see rates at $50 per night (if you have a savings certificate) is insane for this far out. I don't think you can sail Carnival for that price!

OK so I am a cruise addict. Just got back from the Enchantment and have two booked over the next eight months. But I am home alone and bored so I decided to look at a cruise for DW and I next November or December. At first I thought I would look for a short cruise - 4 or 5 nights. I have really been wanting to go back to Labadee and/or Grand Cayman, as it's been a while since we have done Western.

As I was checking prices, I was not terribly happy with the prices for the short cruises. Also, I really didn't want to drive to Port Everglades, especially after realizing how easy Port Canaveral is. So I decided to check the Freedom. Much to my surprise, I found Promenade Staterooms for $369 on the Dec 7 sailing. I thought that might be a mistake, so I clicked through and was able to put a temporary hold on the sailing.

Am I the only one who is completely astounded by this price so far out? I can understand if this was 2013 and they were trying to fill up space.

Now for those of you who have been in a Promenade Room, what has been your experience? If we are trying to go to be around 11ish, will we find the room noisy? For two people, would we find the room spacious enough?

Thanks in advance. Feedback is appreciated as I have a 24 hour hold!

depends if you are over the pub look for 6305 the ben and jerry room for upgrade perks. and keep your curtains shut. lol

Thank you so much for sharing this info. We are booked on this sailing as of today. That was the best deal EVER! :)

So I'm really glad to see this thread. We were just on an NCL cruise last week and in my post-cruise depression I was just sort of browsing last night for an interesting itinerary or a screaming deal on the different lines we like to sail and happened upon these $369 Fares. Couldn't believe it. We sailed on Liberty OTS last year and loved her. Western really wasn't an itinerary I wanted to do again but for this price on one of those ships, we are in! I put a hold on one for Nov 9 at RCCL but then checked one of the online agencies that i have used a couple of times years ago and they were offering half off deposits and an obc. In the end we decided to book Oct 26 and even though I always book direct now, booked this one with the TA and paid the deposit last night.

So out of curiosity tonight I checked prices at RCCL again and sure enough they had almost doubled. I checked the online TA again and while the initial page showed the $369, you can no longer book them. I was starting to get concerned that it was a mistake and then thought, I should check CC and see if anyone's talking about this. Very happy to see that there are a bunch of us that snagged this deal.

.

I believe there is a Savings Certificate available for this date. Read through the thread. Or go to the main Royal Carib website and login and click savings certificate. Your TA will need to call to apply the credit. Another nifty discount for a 10 minute phone call.

Here it is, courtesy of an earlier post in this thread by Wieslaw
