majmaj4 Posted October 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2013 I am planning to head on the Sun to the Caribbean. I am a trying to decide between the OK category (guarantee) or OG. On the promenade level are the windows picture or porthole.. the information in some places seems to see picture other places it says porthole. Are there people walking in front of your view. The other choice is level Biscayne (4) porthole (OG). Thanks!
Rare kjquilts Posted October 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2013 Here are some pictures from deck 6 of the Sun taken this June. The last morning I went and looked at some empty staterooms and took photos with the stewards permission. I believe this is 6210 -- set up with twin beds. These rooms were all very similar and I remember thinking probably any of them would be fine. Taken from inside looking outward to promenade deck and beyond. View of promenade deck showing the stateroom round portholes looking out towards the oblong ship openings. It looked like the round porthole windows were set so they looked out towards one of the ship openings. They do close off this section of the promenade deck at night so you don't have people walking by while you are trying to sleep. You do have to go down a few steps to get to the corridor with these cabins so they wouldn't be good for someone with mobility issues.
