peter_krynicki Posted October 12, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted October 12, 2013 And the seaplane isn't going out either but they are taking reservations. They want to be ready to go as soon as the park opens, either with Federal $'s or otherwise; e.g. Lady Liberty. They will refund any monies if they don't go. bhopal21 Posted October 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2013 During the time the National Parks are closed you are not allowed to visit even if you take your own boat out there. Mike:)
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted October 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2013 All that said, remember Fort Zachary Taylor is a state park and should be open. Of course it is not the same as boating out to Fort Jefferson, but it is a very interesting fort in its own right. I love to watch the sunset from Fort Zachary Taylor. keywester33 Posted October 12, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2013 Do Cruise Ship Passengers even go there? I don't see how they would have time to do this given the relatively short times in port.
