JohninDC Posted October 17, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2013 Lots of hotels in the nearby Lake Buena Vista area -- I do not recall seeing any hotels directly connected (walking distance) to Downtown Disney, but it has been a couple of years for me.
wallie5446 Posted October 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2013 There are about 30 hotels on the Disney property to look at; https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/
brunello22 Posted October 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2013 Hilton Bonnet Creek is a nice 4.5* property in the Downtown Disney area, with regular shuttles going to/from Downtown Disney. I booked it on Hotwire a few months ago for $100/night, plus a $22 resort fee payable at the hotel. La Luce restaurant located in the hotel was excellent as well. FlaGrl4Evr Posted October 18, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2013 The Doubletree is located near Downtown Disney and offers pretty decent rates. http://doubletree3.hilton.com/en/hotels/florida/doubletree-suites-by-hilton-hotel-orlando-lake-buena-vista-MCOFHDT/index.html Here is a list to the other Downtown Disney area hotels. http://www.downtowndisneyhotels.com/deals/vacation-packages?phpMyAdmin=99f2cad76efe09fed3565edd00a7a8cd# . Vexorg Posted October 18, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2013 I've stayed at the Hilton in the Downtown Disney area before (I believe it's called the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista now) and found it nice, but a bit on the expensive side (I got the room for $99 a night back in early December of 2008, it's all the incidentals that add up fast though.) One of the nice things about the Downtown Disney area hotels (the ones on Disney property) is that they have shuttle buses to the parks. The Hilton also has the advantage of being the only Downtown Disney area hotel to provide the Extra Magic Hours in the parks that Disney hotel guests enjoy.
