Caribe Royale Orlando - Thoughts???

We have also stayed there and at the sister property next door. Excellent value, good beds, good service, great pool. It is close to Downtown Disney but not right in the thick of the congestion. Across the (busy) road is a CVS, 7-11, Pizza place and some other restaurant. Plenty of other options in a short drive.

The rooms are set up like Embassy Suites--where you having a living room, bathroom in the middle, then the bedroom. They are decent in size. However, if you do not have a car, I would book some where else. Other than the mentioned CVS and Pizza Parlor, there's not much. And Central FL is not pedestrian friendly.

Stayed at this hotel probably 6-8 times.

Insider tip. Breakfast is not included at the Caribe Royale but is free at the sister property the Buena Vista Suites. Just walk across the parking lot. It isn't quite as nice as an Embassy Suite breakfast but it isn't bad.

The Caribe Royale is much larger than the Buena Vista Suites and has a much nicer pool (with an adjacent bar and snack shop), workout facility and fancy restaurants. They both have Concierge Desks where you can by regular price tickets or discount tickets that require timeshare visits.

Parking is free at both hotels which is nice compared to the on-site Disney properties.

Internet is $10 / day and wireless reception is spotty depending on the room you have. Bring an Ethernet Cable and plug in at the desk in the room.
