Herbaltees Posted October 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2013 My family is booked in two different categories on the same sailing (Carnival Victory) One is an 8D and one is an 8E. We are next to each other. Aside from the obvious 6 steps closer to the food and action. What is the difference between the two cabin categories? Why are they not the same class? SkyMaster Posted October 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2013 You nailed the difference. The difference is the location on the ship, and your cabins just happen to span the exact location of the break between 8D, and 8E. You won't notice any difference at all! (Except the four steps further you'll have to walk from mid ship to get to the 8D cabin.) :D "SKY"
dallas52 Posted October 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2013 none that you will notice, just the location.
Mskala Posted October 31, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2013 Your rooms are probably right at the forward/midship or midship/aft line. So your room is "technically" considered to be in one area and their room in another.
