Just wondering where a beginner snorkeler could go before it gets dark. Or is it worth the time going with such short time before dusk.

When are you going to be there? Then sunset for us last week around 5:45 pm.

Looks like sunset will be about the same time that day (according to ship time). It depends on how quickly you can get out on excursion, and verify what time. Some local tours forget ship time and local time is one hour later (you will arrive at 3 local time).

I would poss try Piscadera Beach - its prob only 10 min drive from the cruise terminal - When I stayed at the Hilton in Piscadea there was great easy snorkelling - we didn't even need fins

 

So possibilities

1. Taxi there and book it for a time to come back

2. Phone up one of the coys working out of the bay

 

Snorkelling is fantastic here by the way - so much to see just in a few feet of water
