RWolver672 Posted November 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2013 And if the porters don't see the FTTF stickers, make them aware of it. I have read on here where they didn't see the FTTF and just put the poster's luggage in with the rest of the passengers. Yours will be put in a special bin, just for FTTF. I don't think it happens that often any more but it did when it first came out.

Even though the FTTF program has been in existence for some time now, it's still a good idea to let your porter know to put "Priority" tags on your luggage. You may still come across a porter that's not familiar with the FTTF program.;)
Anyislandwilldo Posted November 25, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2013 When you get to the port, show the workers at the terminal you have FTTF on your boarding pass so they move you to the priority check in line.
lucille&mike Posted November 25, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2013 Make sure to print out your boarding passes and cruise docs AFTER you've purchased FTTF. That way the FTTF will be all over them. We didn't give it a second thought and since it was a late addition on our cruise, almost forgot to reprint.... oops

Although our luggage tags had Priority and the FTTF emblem, we didn't mention to the Porters. We didn't get 1 piece of luggage until after Muster, and the 2nd was at our door when we returned to the room after dinner.
NS-Cruiser Posted November 25, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 25, 2013 We didn't mention it to the porters on our last cruise on Freedom, and DW didn't get her second bag until almost midnight! Make sure the porters know! And get yourself into the proper line to by-pass the masses - after all you paid for the perk.
@homeinok Posted November 26, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Perfect Thank you!! And I would assume that the tenders to port you have something to show them there also?

To board the tenders with FTTF, you go to Guest Services and show your S&S card. They will escort you down to the tenders and take you to the head of the line. I don't think it happens that often any more but it did when it first came out. I was told by a Carnival employee this past July that the Porters have nothing to do with FTTF. She said the bags with the FTTF logo are separated into a separate area after your luggage goes thru their scanners. I asked her the procedure because we never mentioned anything to the Porters. Our bags arrived within a half hour of us boarding.

There were bins labeled for each deck and one for FTTF. The porter told us that FTTF bins get loaded on to the ship first as soon as they are filled. First come first served on the tenders going back to the ship.

Just sailed out of New Orleans, the porters there attach a bright orange luggage tag/sticker to the luggage handles.

This is what I was told in Baltimore and my bags were not put anywhere special. In Baltimore you drive through a gauntlet of baggage carts lined up on each side of your car. You stop wherever they tell you to and your bags go in that cart. Our bags were mixed with 6 other couples traveling with us who did not have FTTF. We received our bags, and they didn't. Anyway, at the end of the day all that matters is that you get what you paid for regardless of their procedures.
