cruising mickey Posted November 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2013 Hello, Does anyone know where to find what's on the Mongolian Wok menu? Thanks
SoCalKJ Posted November 25, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2013 I took a couple pics from the Inspiration...probably similar to your ship... The only one, though, that may answer your main question:
mrpayroll Posted November 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2013 Think VEGGIES ( you pick and put in bowl ) then at the end you pick chicken, steak , or shrimp for them to add. topped off by choosing sauce for them to add.
OCruisers Posted November 25, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2013 Thanks for posting the menu! The line for this gets so busy it's good to know in advance what you want and which sauce. LuLu ~~~~
FlaMilkman Posted November 25, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2013 That is the basic menu - it does change slightly from day to day. For example one day it might add pork instead of shrimp, etc.

kicia Posted November 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Shrimp is only available the first day but every day there are three choices and could be beef, chicken, pork, calamari or salmon. There are always three sauces ranging from mild to spicy. The other choices are usually two types of noodles and a variety of veggies. I really like the wok and will miss it when it is eventually replaced on all of the ships.

I'll be disappointed if this is true.

Colorado Kat Posted November 27, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 27, 2013 It's very similar to Hu-Hot Mongolian Barbeque, if you have ever been to one of those.

If anything they should expand it to help reduce the lines.
Branman Posted November 28, 2013 #13 Share Posted November 28, 2013 JiJi's Asian Kitchen is a Mongolian Wok during the day just like how Cucina del Capitano is a pasta bar during the day. I would expect ships to continue having a Mongolian Wok as long as the JiJi concept is ported to other ships. I hope that's not a dumb question It has nothing to do with general tsao chicken. That is a specific dish. This is a whole type of cooking that has become a popular type of restaurant

I hope that's not a dumb question General tsos is deep fried and pretty much a chicken and sauce dish though sometimes broccoli or other veggies will be added. The mongolian wok is more focus on noodles and other toppings with different sauce options or combos basically a stir fry. hope this helped ^_^

RuthlessBoss Posted November 28, 2013 #19 Share Posted November 28, 2013 Yes this totally helps. Now I know what I'm eating and it won't be Mongolian Wok Tried it once, personally, not impressed. I think people like the novelty of the stir fry, but lines get backed up because of the time involved cooking individually. Doesn't move through like a buffet line. Georgiagolfer Posted November 28, 2013 #20 Share Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) Best time to eat Mongolian Wok for lunch is either embark day or a Port day. No lines to speak of. Edited November 28, 2013 by Georgiagolfer spelling
ash&geoff Posted November 29, 2013 #21 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Can you just get soy sauce instead of one of the listed sauces? I wasn't a fan of any of the sauces offered.
Wants to be rich Posted November 29, 2013 #22 Share Posted November 29, 2013 Best time to eat Mongolian Wok for lunch is either embark day or a Port day. No lines to speak of. This is what I did on the Sensation last week. There were about 3 people in front of me and about 4 people joined the line after me. The line had 3 cooks working. No long wait and the dish was very good! :)
gusandgidgetsmom Posted November 29, 2013 #23 Share Posted November 29, 2013 I was just on the Miracle and it seemed different than all the others I had been to. No just picking out the veggies and then meat and having them stir fry. It was all cooked placed in bins and then you just put it on your plate. It was extremely disappointing in my opinion. Normally on a 7 or 8 day cruise I am there at least 5 days. I was on a 15 day cruise and once was enough for me. Is there a Mongolian Wok on the Miracle?
