WillandStacey Posted December 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2013 We are on day 4 of our Allure cruise and the entire family is having a blast! I won the very first game of bingo I have ever played, and my mom stuck $20 into slots and ended up with almost $300 in winnings so far. my 5 yr old will not leave adventure ocean she loves it! Wife and my mom are enjoying some shopping, bingo, the shows, the 13 yr old just hangs with us and has a permanent smile on her face :) Today we got into port late so they made it up by giving each stateroom a credit for my wife me and 5 yr old I think it ended up being $200 so I ordered the 3 day internet deal for fun. Eating like kings and still haven't seen everything, we were bummed to so so many shows sold out but have had NO trouble just doing standbys and so far haven't been turned away at a single show :) The comedy show was great Jim David is hilarious although it is very 18+ content wise so my 13 yr old went to a hangout room while we laughed like mad. Wife has her eye on a coach bag do they ever do any kind of sale on coach towards the end of the cruise? Told her if she wi s bingo again just go buy it! We are going to go book an quantum cruise for dec 2014 before we leave so we can take advantage of their inboard credit deal going on. Wife, 5 yr old and I are in an inside room, my mom and my 13 yr old are in a balcony room it's nice but it seems hotter with the sun and door going in and out, I'll keep my inside room thank you! This is our 3rd RCI cruise and by far the most fun, my only complaint is my feet hurt and I wish I had more energy to go longer into the wee hours. MrFunInTheSun Posted December 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2013 Glad you're having a great cruise Bill and family! Allure is simply amazing and one week surely isn't enough. I just got off her a few weeks ago and I didn't get half the things I thought I would done by the conclusion of the cruise! Enjoy every minute you have and don't feel bad if you don't get to everything, it's nearly impossible to do in one week. The best part is it just gives you that additional reason to sail on this class again. :D:D Enjoy the rest of your wonderful cruise! :D:D:D

nelblu Posted December 12, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 12, 2013 Glad you're enjoying the ship. We were on the Oasis and had a blast. Looking forward the Allure cruise for this Feb, and greatly anticipating Quantum for Feb., '15.
GTO-Girl Posted December 12, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 12, 2013 Sorry, no......the Coach bag will not go on sale. Disagree.....we were on the Allure last month and they had a huge Coach bag sale in the Promenade towards the end of the week. They were grabbing those things like mad........ We LOVED the Allure too!

They were grabbing those things like mad........ I believe the Coach bag sale are different stock than what is usually in the Coach store the rest of the week. They will have a sale with different stock - not the regularly prices bags that the OP's wife is probably eyeing. :)
Colorado Babe Posted December 12, 2013 #12 Share Posted December 12, 2013 I am so happy your having a great time on the Allure. Several of our friends are on her as well. Congratulations on the wins in the Casino! Yay!;)

If you want to save a few bucks, have her wait until the sale but if her heart is set on that bag, might as well get it now and avoid the rush. WillandStacey Posted December 13, 2013 Author #17 Share Posted December 13, 2013 We didn't win bingo today but still had fun, we booked another cruise for dec 2014 for our 20th anniversary wife and I alone this time grandma is going to stay with the girls that week for us. Grandma booked a 15 day Mediterranean for July 2014 with our 13 yr old I am jealous but know they will have an amazing time. I do have to say I've seen a few scowls too, I don't get how someone could not have fun without it being their choice to NOT have a good time. To me life is too short and vacations too far apart to not try to have the most fun possible! We still didn't get to do some of the things we hoped to do but we will make sure to look into another cruise on the Allure! Bill ;)

WillandStacey Posted December 14, 2013 Author #19 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Wife won bingo today and I won on day one, nothing huge but so far we are a hair ahead without cost. Wife got to check the balls and get a shirt and drink of the day she loved it! A 9 yr old won bingo for a week cruise for two that was fun to see her whole family celebrate ;) So far my moms first $65 in the casino has rolled into just over 881 on her voucher ticket, i told her to cash out and only have/use like 60-100 at a time vs using that big cash ticket as a just in case. Wife did buy her bag today as the other one she liked had sold all 3 they had so with one left she bit on it early Merry Christmas ;) Got a few RC shirts on their sale day today and some small Britton items just so colorful and cheerful one will go to work with my wife to make her smile and remember our Allure cruise :) Tomorrow is supposed to be a up to 30% off select coach items so we will see what shows up for fun and also see what snowball bingo luck comes our way ;) Did the zip line for the first time wife loved it! Still so much to see and do one last full day tomorrow really have enjoyed the shows and after hours entertainment in fact if I had to come up with a negative it would be that the solarium whirlpools just didn't seem hot really tried the regular ones by the pools too but they were the same. Less than 10 hrs internet left but I'll check in once we are back home we are staying an extra day in ft lauderdale but won't do much but swim maybe just wanted to take it easy vs rush to the airport with so many others on return day. WillandStacey Posted December 15, 2013 Author #21 Share Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) For a large ship our check in and check out was very smooth and fast we took a shuttle to the Hyatt place for one more night stay tonight we came in a day early too just easier cruising with a small break on both ends less rushing. The 30% off coach sale was different stuff than the store had but my wife found 2 more so she came home with 3 coach bags I couldn't complain because she won over 350 on slots started with 40, my mom ended at 650 and had started with 65 so she did well too, Bingo went well won two games for just over $200 total played more than we should have for the final game $ wise that one we didn't win (darn) as most games were in the 350+ range the snowball was around 6300 total. I think overall the stuff that surprised me was we did plan ahead but ended up doing different things than I thought, my 5 yr old wanted nothing to do with us she wanted to go to adventure ocean everyday every hour. She only did one dining room dinner with us we really didn't see her much as I thought. My 13 yr old didn't want to do any teen things since she was alone but other than the comedy club she saw every show with my mom, my wife and I. The things I thought I would do more we just ran out time for, I wanted to do the whirlpool more but I only went twice, they were luke warm and mild pressure vs what I hoped for (more of a hot tub temp with stronger jets for sore muscles). I also thought I would prefer the sorentos and boardwalk dog place more but I ended up eating in adagio and wind jammer for lunch and snacks. Very nice vacation first with the kids too and they both were full of smiles and fun with lots of memories and a few Britto Coach and Royal Caribbean shirts hats etc. Edited December 15, 2013 by FTLOSM
