Norwegian Launches Butler-Drawn Bath Menu

on 12 December 2013.

Norwegian Cruise Line has added another element of luxury to the line’s array of exclusive suite amenities by introducing a new, first of its kind in the cruise industry “Bath Butler” menu, offering guests the opportunity to pamper themselves with one of the line’s signature baths, which are drawn by the suite guest’s dedicated certified butler.

The butler baths are listed on an in-suite menu and available in all suites fleet wide, including those in the Haven by Norwegian, the line’s exclusive ship-within-in-a-ship suite complex.

“Norwegian’s suites offer a level of service and array of exclusive amenities that can only be found in five and six star land-based resorts,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s chief executive officer.

“With the introduction of our Bath Butler Menu, we are taking luxury to the next level and know that our guests will love pampering themselves with one of these specially designed baths drawn by our certified butlers.”

Norwegian’s Bath Butler Menu features seven different luxury bath packages, each inspired by one of Norwegian’s spectacular destinations. Every package also includes a tasty treat and refreshing beverage selection. Many of Norwegian’s suite bath tubs also have views of the ocean for an even more luxurious experience.

For those guests wanting the ultimate in pampering, Norwegian’s signature drawn bath is the unparalleled Mediterranean Soak. For $499, guests will bask in the French verbena bubbles that surround them, as they block out the world with their eye mask while sipping on a glass of chilled Dom Perignon champagne, poured from the bottle that sits beside them. In addition, guests who indulge in the Mediterranean Soak will enjoy feasting on sturgeon caviar.

Additional Bath Menu options include:

Mexican Riviera Retreat, $99: Guests can ease into a siesta with a lime exfoliating body scrub with loofah. Then enjoy the perfect nightcap of a freshly made, all natural margarita with 100% agave tequila, premium triple orange liqueur and fresh squeezed limes.

Caribbean Calm, $99: Guests will feel like they are in the tropics while enjoying a passion fruit bath gel with exfoliator gloves, topped off with a hand-muddled Mojito prepared with Bacardi Superior, fresh mint and hand pressed limes.

Hawaiian Bloom, $99: Aloha! Guests will find their own tropical paradise by slipping into a plumeria milk bath with floating flowers and be treated to a coconut kiwi pineapple splash prepared with Bacardi Rock Coconut, pineapple juice, lemon lime soda with chunks of fresh pineapple and kiwi.

Alaskan Plunge, $99: Guests will experience refreshing relaxation with pine bath salts and a back scratcher. After soaking, guests can enjoy a cold pitcher of strawberry lemonade with Stolichnaya vodka, fresh strawberries and hand pressed lemons.

Great Island Oasis, $99: Guests will find they are in their own private oasis as they slip into a seaweed eucalyptus bath, complete with bath pillow and passion punch made with passion fruit liqueur, vodka, fresh fruit juices and sparkling wine.

Wonder waterfall, $49: Bath time should be fun time for the kids. The perfect time for kids to splash around with kiwi fruit berry bath bombs. Then treat them to a yummy kid-friendly strawberry and banana smoothie.

Where exactly do you suppose news outlets are getting this? It's not that I don't believe you, OP; when I google the topic, I do find plenty of news sites with the story including USA Today, which I suppose is real-ish, but not a darn one links back to a press release or interview. NCL's site also doesn't (as of the time of this writing) have a press release up about it.

I'm not as familiar with NCL as I am some of the other lines. Is it common for them to leak news prior to official press releases?

And darn it, I want to see the entire menu!

Im not allowed to run the bath anymore . I always fill it to high and spill.

Now my wife just waits for me to get in the tub and then she pours a glass of Hot water over me . Seems to do the trick....:(

Butler Baths ,,, we'll see ..

They couldn't find any other vodka-producing country than Russia?

What Kevin Sheehan doesn't get, is that at the 5 & 6 star hotels to which he refers, this type of service is included, not extra.

NCL...if you're listening, please get rid of the Stoli. What's going on over there is horrific, and the only voice we have is our dollars. If you insist on spending my dollars negatively, I have no option but to spend them elsewhere.

Ok, I am a bit confused. I assume you have to be in a room with a tub? The mini suite tubs are very small and not much luxury. It this something that happens in the spa?

Or is this only a service for the high end suites that have tubs?

$500 for fish eggs and champagne and bubbles? Maybe not. BUT, IF you roll in a TV, pipe in an NFL playoff game and feed me wings, pizza and beer... I WILL think about it ;)

First paragraph "which are drawn by the suite guest’s dedicated certified butler."

This obviously is only offered to full suites since mini-suites (glorified balcony) don't come with suite perks or a butler.

Many penthouse suites have very small bathtubs and this would not be possible.

FYI I was answering the poster's question about mini-suites.

I guess if you were in a penthouse and didn't feel that your tub was of sufficient size for this, you could always not purchase it

Please!!!!!!

We haven't agreed since you had your other banned alias, but me getting upset that people are being beaten & killed with government sanction is not something which merits getting personal about.

I spend a LOT of money with NCL (probably much more than most, given my casino losses), and asking them to NOT subsidize atrocity should be WELL within my rights.

And that's what I'm doing. They seem to ignore personal emails, so I'm doing it here, in context.

Now they now why I won't buy this service.

I'm offering a special service for cruise critic members. If you book me in a suite on your cruise, I will personally prepare you baths whenever you want free of charge. I will also personally serve you some of the orange juice concentrate from the buffet to enjoy while soaking.
