Northshorecruisers Posted December 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2013 Thinking of booking a 5 day on Constellation in the Royal Suite. My questions are: How comfortable is the sofa sleeper in the livingroom? And, is the hottub on the verandah nice to have or is it so small that it isn't usuable for 2 - 3 people? Thanks! cle-guy Posted December 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2013 Thinking of booking a 5 day on Constellation in the Royal Suite. My questions are: How comfortable is the sofa sleeper in the livingroom? And, is the hottub on the verandah nice to have or is it so small that it isn't usuable for 2 - 3 people? Thanks! I had the PH on Connie last year, and have a Royal booked in January. The hot tub I say fits 2 easily, maybe 3 OK. And its not a HOT TIUB, it's a whirlpool. The water is the temperature it comes out the faucet, it does not keep the water heated. The hot tubs on the S class are a different design, and I say really only fit 1 comfortably. The sofa bed in the Penthouse was awful, but nothing unlike what one would expect from a sofa bed. My friend chose to just toss the mattress on the floor and sleep. I've read from others that get the butler or room steward to bring in an extra sofa bed mattress or some sort of bedding to make it a bit more comfortable. It's always that bar across where your hips are that makes a sofa bed awful. If only 1 person planning to use the sofa bed, maybe request a roll-away bed with a normal mattress instead. upwarduk Posted December 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2013 Here is a picture of the whirlpool on another M class ship, Infinity. We were shown round by someone on our Roll Call, who had booked a guarentee suite and was upgraded to the Royal Suite.
kitty9 Posted December 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2013 I've been in a RS on Conne and the hot tub can't fit three, it barely fits two. Plus, many times, the tub doesn't work As for the pull out, they're not comfortable.

What I really want to know is if there is a designated club for suite gests with an evening cocktail hour? I have been reading mixed storeis about Michael's club being used for that.
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted March 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2014 I slept on the sofa in the living room in our royal suite on the Infinity last spring and found it to be perfectly comfortable. Probably has to do with how recently the furniture has been replaced.
