Peripateo Posted December 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Hey folks, last year on the Allure we learned the hard way that our child will not sit through a nice dinner in the MDR at our 6:00 seating. My wife and I are going back on the Allure in March and our daughter will be 3.5 years old. We are taking a set of grandparents and we are thinking about doing My Time Dining. Our reasoning is that on some evenings (like the first day or so or when we have an early show reservation) we can see how dinner works with all five of us going right at 6:00. Maybe our daughter will miraculously sit like an angel for the entire dinner and we can all eat together every night. On other evenings, the grandparents could go right at 6:00 and enjoy their time while we play with our daughter, then swap off when they are done and my wife and I can have an enjoyable dinner. I do remember a dinner seating taking quite a while to enjoy all the courses. How does this plan sound to any who may have done My Time Dining? SMASHROX Posted December 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2013 We always do my time dining when we sail with our 2 year old. For us, we just never know what each day will bring, whether DD will decide to have an extra long nap, etc. The pressure of trying to get to the dining room every night at a set time was a hassle, so MTD is the way to go for us. momto2js Posted December 29, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Regardless of which dinner time we have, after the kids are done, they go to the kids club and we finish our dinner. My 4 and 7 year olds can't last more than an hour. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Forums mobile app
crusinmama06 Posted December 29, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Why not do the My Time FAMILY dining? The AO staff will come and meet you at the dining room and take her to AO? Her meal is accelerated and you get to finish yours. :)
