Clarea Posted December 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2013 We did not find good snorkelling at all on Labadee. Even took a snorkelling excursion and that was disappointing.
DonnaK Posted December 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2013 Like Bob, we also didn't find good snorkeling on Labadee. Also, there is no particular quiet, uncrowded beach. The further away from the pier you go, the less crowded it will be, but Labadee is a small peninsula, so no place will be secluded. (Don't be discouraged though. Labadee is still our favorite port in the Caribbean. We love the beach and scenery, and I could stay in that water all day! The side of the peninsula which faces the ship has the beaches that are better for swimming. The side of the peninsula under the zipline is to rocky and rough for going in the water. CaribbeanCrush Posted December 31, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2013 The best thing about snorkeling at Labadee is that it is good practice for the other ports with good snorkeling. :D Seriously, the water has been relatively calm when we are there, so it's a good place for beginners or if you are like my wife and I. We all get a chance to snorkel when we are cruising.
CaribbeanCrush Posted December 31, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2013 Just to second Donna. Labadee is our favorite port as well. We look forward to the day there more than any of the other ports.
Rare Lionesss Posted December 31, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2013 Agree with the snorkelling from above posters. If you want to be by yourself on a beach, try Adrenaline, no shade and hot hot hot. The other beaches are not super crowded, and have shade. If you are in a suite you have barefoot beach and all the perks:D Enjoy we love the place. Sea Ya
hipster1 Posted December 31, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 31, 2013 I have a quick question. Is Barefoot Beach the only "restricted" beach? Can we use Nellie's if we don't have a cabana? Thanks! Ali

allentownahoy Posted January 2, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 2, 2014 We did not find good snorkelling at all on Labadee. Even took a snorkelling excursion and that was disappointing. Could you tell me a bit more about the snorkeling excursion and why you did not like it? I was thinking of doing it later this month. Was there anything to see?
