mugtech Posted January 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I have read that a cruise ship just built in Germany will be this year's Bud Light Hotel and be docked at Pier 88 in NYC at the end of January through Groundhog's Day (Super Sunday) February 2. Supposedly it will house 4,000 guests. Question is, does anyone know the future of said ship as to the cruise line and name?
Rare KeithJenner Posted January 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2014 It's the Getaway, which is heading to New York for the Super Bowl before going on the Miami. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

ColinIllinois Posted January 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 1, 2014 Do you really think it is a good idea???????? Sure, why not? It's not much different than having a full sailing. It's not like all the people are going to go in and start tearing stuff up.
francina Posted January 2, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Yeah remember Yankee stadium when they took everything. Including the field. Never say never or it will not happen. You never know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bguppies Posted January 2, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 2, 2014 What a great way to break-in a new ship Yeah a bunch of corporate big wigs, celebrities and invited guests, who will treat the ship better than anybody on the first few sailings. Do you really think the ship will be open to the general public? Joe Sixpack won't be partying onboard. Better chance of rubbing elbows with P. Diddy or Meryl Streep. Cheerleaders in here are just as full of themselves as the RCCL, Carnival, boardies, etc... Bill

I'm guessing the multi millionaires onboard won't be tearing crap off the walls. If the Kid Rock sailing can start the next week in perfect shape, I'm thinking we have nothing to worry about....
