Anyone else getting these? Edited January 1, 2014 by jebl

molly361 Posted January 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I'm getting a lot of make you spa reservations but never received any of the ones asking about C and A benefits
watson61 Posted January 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2014 Same here especially the spa emails. I've never booked a spa treatment on a cruise - they seem overpriced and I've heard about the hard sell for products. No thanks.
Aquahound Posted January 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I'm getting the spa email about once every other day now. Same here, and I don't even have a cruise booked! First, I was getting NO emails from RCI and now, I'm getting flooded with emails wanting me to book the Vitality Spa on a non-existing cruise. Sheesh! When is RCI going to get their IT dept straightened out??!!
jebl Posted January 1, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted January 1, 2014 The only time I used a spa service was on NCL. They had a massage chair set up outside the buffet. 25 minute neck and upper back massage for $30. It was great, not selling of products either. Wish RCI would do something like that. Ken at the beach Posted January 1, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 1, 2014 Just got back from 9 days aboard the Liberty and had 26 e mails from Royal. 22 of them from the purchase of 6 NCC's, one spa e mail for our March cruise and 3 surveys from the cruises we just finished. Cigar King Posted January 1, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I just figure they really want to give me 500 bucks for visiting the spa, so they're going to keep reminding me. ;-)
Clarea Posted January 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I spoke too soon. Since I posted earlier, I've received 3 more emails about getting up to $400 to spend on board. Naturally, it's not combinable with any C&A perk.

nanofrog Posted January 1, 2014 #15 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I'm getting the spa email about once every other day now. We are too. Maybe if they lowered their prices a bit more people would be interested.
setsail Posted January 1, 2014 #16 Share Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) The prices are not always in stone. Have some fun with it, tell them what you are willing to pay, you will be surprised. Some of the ships are very flexible depending on business Edited January 1, 2014 by setsail
dealer9296 Posted January 1, 2014 #17 Share Posted January 1, 2014 Prices are crazy......Majesty 1/13 $189.00 SOLO 408.00 Duh! That is just one example....been looking at this stuff all day. I do not mean prices are that high, which some are, I mean they don't make sense.

Oshawapilot Posted January 1, 2014 #19 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I got the spa email today. "You'll soon be onboard, book your spa reservation now". I got excited for a split second thinking someone had booked a cruise for me. :p
ECCruise Posted January 1, 2014 #20 Share Posted January 1, 2014 RCCL (and Celebrity) IT departments should be evacuated and burned to the ground. And the ashes buried. Deeply. Where do you want to start? Multiple emails thanking us for just getting back from our Royal sailing. Last sail date, 4 years ago. Multiple emails for preparing for our upcoming cruise(s). Cruises booked on Royal: 0. Now the WOW sale with OBCs "Up to $400!!" Until you click on the link and it takes you to a page delineating OBCs up to $300 (lost $100 on the click, I guess). Or the total inability on a lot of booked Celebrity cruises to book shore excursions. Or complete immigration information. Or ready check-in. More examples of working as cheaply as possible to try to shove more to the bottom line. They need a real IT department.
ckrobyn Posted January 1, 2014 #21 Share Posted January 1, 2014 I deleted the 4 wow sale emails, and there were fresh ones in my inbox within 10 minutes  Im getting the spa emails too - but I DO have an upcoming cruise.....and I have zero plans on visiting the spa.
