bp traveler Posted January 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2014 Looking for a nice beach but have limited time. We did Goff's Caye last time and enjoyed it. Looked at doing Caye Caulker but the timing only really leaves us 2 hours, seems like to much running around for 2 hours. we are in port 8-5pm, if we tender in on the first tender at make the 9am water taxi, get to Caye Caulker by 10am and have to leave on the noon water taxi to be safe. Need help with what else we could do here! thanks

Need help with what else we could do here! thanks Are you arriving at 8am ship time or Belize time? We did Caye Caulker last time, LOVED OUR DAY. We got the 9am departing taxi and 1:30pm return taxi. We were in port from 9-6 (ship time). Coral Breeze does offer transportation to Caye Caulker on its own. You go as part of the Shark/Ray Alley tour and they drop you before taking the snorkelers out to the reef. Might allow you to spend more time on Caye Caulker without having to be limited by the water taxi schedule. wantocruisemore Posted January 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Lots of possibilities in Belize. Last time we did the Altum Ha/River Wallace tour. This time we've arranged a private for snorkeling at Shark ray alley plus another stop. There's also cavetubing as a possibility. One note on coral breeze though! they have some very bad reviews lately. Check the Belize posts for port of call. If want to go back to Caye caulker, use another co. blue_water Posted January 2, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2014 We too enjoyed Goff's Caye our first visit to Belize, one of our nicest days. This trip we're on the Dream and in port a little longer from 8 - 6 ship time or 7 - 5 Belize time. THanks to CDNJehn and others we're doing the Caye Caulker rater taxi and we should easily make the 9AM Belize-time taxi if not the 8AM Belize-time taxi, and we'll take the 1:30PM Belize-time return from Caye Caulker which would get us back to port by 2:15 Belize-time or 3:15 ship time. There's also a flight option but the timing is still too close for comfort with the taxi from the airport. But the 1:30 taxi should work for you right? bp traveler Posted January 2, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Our itinerary says that we are in port from 8am-5pm. Do you think that the 1:30 taxi is too risky? Who else would you recommend if Coral Breeze has gone down hill? We can't do Cave tubing we have grandma with us.

blue_water Posted January 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2014 Our itinerary says that we are in port from 8am-5pm. Do you think that the 1:30 taxi is too risky? 1:30 gets you back to the tender by 2:30 or 3:30 ship time, no worries.
rossillims Posted January 30, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2014 My husband and I will cruising on Carnival Sunshine in February 2014. We have never been to Belize. Trying to decided between Goff's Caye or Caye Caulker. Blue Water--- how was your trip to Caye Caulker? How were the water taxis, the ocean and beach, etc there on Caye Caulker? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks. Rossillims
blue_water Posted January 30, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2014 rossillims we'll be on CC for our first visit next week so can't give you many details. There is a great, detailed trip report on tripadvisor though if you want to read that. But I know that we won;t be seeing a beach there because we're just there a few hours and we'll be in "town" and at the Lazy Lizard. I believe there are beaches further away. But for a nice little beach Goff's is beautiful, we have some of our nicest pictures from there.
