Baseball fan Posted January 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Hi, we are looking at a cruise on Crown Princess. I was looking at cabins near the aft stairs. Is there much noise from the buffet (especially chairs early in the morning)? I've been on other lines who didn't allow the chairs on the tile floor (only those on carpet) until after 8am. Anyone stayed in a cabin below the buffet? Thoughts? Thanks, Dena

You will be fine, aft doors to the pool and one deck up to the HC. ;)
maun Posted January 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2014 We recently stayed in balcony cabin R702 under the buffet and close to the elevators and stairs. Never heard any noise. I really liked the location. ~~Maun
jetstorm Posted January 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2014 We just returned from the Christmas week onthe Crowna nd had inside cabin 733 on Riviera and had no trouble with noise at all. Rare JustinPlusLauren Posted January 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2014 I've stayed in that location on the CB and it was right underneath the buffet (R704) and didn't notice any noise! Loved the location since it was so close to the terrace pool! and close to the buffet, too!
Goldensea Posted January 12, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Jetstorm: Thanks for the information. We are staying in R717, wondering if you experenced any of the A/C -Plumbing problems on your stay.
whataboutport Posted January 12, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 12, 2014 We also stayed in that area on the CB, 2nd from the last on the starboard side. No noise at all. Very convenient to the aft pool and buffet. I would book that location again any day!
AryMay Posted January 12, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 12, 2014 We just returned from a cruise on the Emerald Princess and stayed in this area. Our cabin was R728. There were a few times I woke during the night and heard the faint sound of something like a rolling cart coming from above. You had to listen carefully to hear it so definitely not something that would be bothersome. What was a bit of a problem however... It was so handy to head out the back doors to the Terrace Pool and up to the buffet, but we discovered that this area on the PORT side was a designated smoking spot. As soon as you walked up the steps you were met with a smoke cloud from the folks gathered there. Had I known this I would have tried to get a cabin on the starboard side instead. We either held our breath and walked fast or used the inside aft stairs instead.
vmom Posted January 12, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 12, 2014 I was in a balcony room on the Crown under the buffet about 3 years ago. Never heard a sound from the buffet. Very quiet.
