Parking at Sydney OPT

Recommended Posts

I'd actually like to know where the best place to be dropped off is? I don't think regular cars are able to drive right up to the front there are they?

We have been dropped off and picked up by family members at the OPT without any problems. Just let the person on the security gate know you are picking up/dropping off.

Yes they are. You drive down Hickson Rd and turn into the dock area. There's a boom gate & a little man...you just tell him you're dropping someone off and he'll wave you through. You then proceed down the road, along in front of the OPT, around the roundabout and back to the kerb where they will show you where to park. Eject your cruiser and you're off! Really easy. Same with picking up. Just get your cruiser to text you when they're kerbside. :)

You will be able to drop off at OPT but not park. Lots of buses and tour operators also need access as well as delivery trucks all using he same tiny piece of roadway.

You can get lucky and park in the metered area of Hickson rd just behind the Waterfront restaurants..but only for a few hours, so it will have to be a quick cruise!
