CrimsonQueen Posted January 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2014 If Carnival is going to drop the single supplement, do you know approximately when they drop it? I was told it had to be dropped before final payment, but do you know WHEN??

I was told it had to be dropped before final payment, but do you know WHEN?? by standard, they do NOT drop the single supplement, and charge the standard double occupancy rate. however, recently, they have been running these specials where they DO. i've noticed it tends to be within 1-3 months, but that is variable. here is the list of current cruises which offer the no single supplement fares: https://www.goccl.com/~/media/GOCCL/Files/Sales/SingleOccupancy.ashx it's really a good deal and i hope they keep doing this. :)
Topo Gigio Posted January 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2014 I'm cruising solo next Sunday on the Sunshine. I paid $520 with all taxes and port charges plus got an additional $40 OBC! not bad if you ask me.

sharecruises Posted January 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Those are great rates - I really hope Carnival continues to do this, and also think they should add some "solo" /studio type cabins like NCL has
Pami1968 Posted January 19, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 19, 2014 I also took advantage of the no single supplement offerings - can't beat $405 for a 7 day, even out of San Juan - I'm using miles to fly in anyway. When they stopped offering any breaks to solo cruisers a few years back I started cruising on other lines, which I still love, but Carnival feels like "home" for me. I also hope they continue to offer the no supplements, at least on some sailings.
