lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #101 Share Posted January 22, 2014 We had previously decided to stay on the ship during Grand Cayman as we'd already been to Grand Cayman before on our honeymoon cruise. It was actually the first time I had ever ridden a horse! So we wanted to experience what the ship was like while most people got off. We ended up doing a cruise ship first. We went in a hot tub for the first time! We watched Everybody Loves Raymond on the big screen from the hot tub. Then we got out and sat in the lounge chairs and watched Cheers. lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #102 Share Posted January 22, 2014 One thing we noticed about this ship was that they constantly had towel animals around Lido deck which was very cool. I had missed the towel animal takeover day on my last cruise and this was like a mini takeover everyday! :D
lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #103 Share Posted January 22, 2014 We ate lunch on Lido. My lunch of choice: Dessert:

lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #106 Share Posted January 22, 2014 After spending a little time in the room, I got some ice cream, bought the elegant photo they took in the MDR the previous night and got a mocha chocolate getaway. DH met up with me and we watched the initial sailaway. Someone asked what I was drinking and I said a mocha chocolate getaway and that it is the best drink on the ship! I think Carnival should hire me to be the "Mocha Chocolate Getaway Girl." Lol! :D Airplane coming in for a landing:
lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #107 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Service was slow in the MDR that night between the appetizer and main course. DH had Cesar salad, flat iron steak and lemon cake. I had fruit cocktail, chicken Sicilian style and lemon cake. I'm usually a WCMC fan, but the past couple I had were kinda soupy and I like them cooked a little more.
lovestocruise19 Posted January 22, 2014 Author #108 Share Posted January 22, 2014 After a quick stop in the room, we wandered around Promenade Deck 5 and I made DH do a casual photo shoot since I let him off the hook with elegant photos. We also wandered Lido deck and DH got more lemon cake and I got a little bit of ice cream. We then waited in our room until the 11 p.m. comedy show. So a funny thing happened. DH and I each had our toothbrushes on the shelves and I looked and the toothbrushes were put in the glasses. I asked DH if he had done this and he said no, so Marlon must have. Weird. I've never seen that before! One tip: Those sign and sail kiosks are actually pretty cool as they show you your cruise cash and OBC whereas the TV in your room only shows OBC. beachgirl2221 Posted January 22, 2014 #117 Share Posted January 22, 2014 You were originally on our roll call, we are almost neighbors. I live in Sacramento. We fly out of SFO Sat morning. Maybe we will see you at the meet and greet at the Red Frog Bar on lido deck. We are meeting from 1-muster. We will definitely try and come meet up with all of you. Life got crazy and I never made it back to our roll call. We are coming with another couple who live in Roseville, flying out of Sac Saturday morning. Sent from my GT-P5113 using Forums mobile app You go all the way forward past all the rooms on Deck 7 and you will see a door leading outside. I believe there was a door on both the port and starboard sides.

Yes! I was wondering the same exact thing and my smart DH said that it is probably the backup generator or some such thing as part of the fleet wide improvements they made after the Triumph incident.
