MADFlyer - So what are your thoughts on the calls mentioned a few posting above about Freedom in St. Maarten? Also what about the rumor that Freedom will move to San Juan?

Other observation, you note that Anthem will return to South Hampton during summer 2016. Does that then mean Ovation to NJ or Florida? Recall Ovation will be delivered around May 2016.

 

Well, I stepped away from the computer and gave this more distance.

 

As Freedom is scheduled for Grand Cayman and that port is usually not on itineraries out of SJ, I would think she stays in PC.

 

This only represents Freedom western itineraries every other week. She would do eastern the other weeks.

 

I maybe got crossed up as Liberty and Navigator moves were not fresh on my mind and I missed that.

Thanks for posting the FR calls in Grand Cayman. I wonder if RCI will move a FR class ship to SJU as they often have trouble filling AD and have sold cabins at deep discounts to folks from Puerto Rico. Would it be possible for NV to move to SJU since QN is going to China?

I would think that Anthem stays on NJ year round and Ovation does the split Southhampton/ FLL season.

 

I only base this on that Anthem is booked all over Europe now and the fact that you actually see the break in her calls at Grand Cayman for the summer season. She leaves these itineraries at least from April to November.

Actually, the Loyalty Ambassador on EX told me that FR was staying past 4-2016.

Based on the port information from George Town, Grand Cayman I am able to make some predictions for 2016-2017 deployment.

 

Freedom should remain year-round from Port Canaveral, Florida with calls every other week at Grand Cayman through April 27th, 2017. But why would Freedom be calling at St. Maarten on Sunday's? I guess she could just be a placeholder?

 

Navigator will be re-deployed and leave Galveston at the end of April, 2016.

 

Brilliance will return to home port Tampa and continue similar sailings as from the 2015-2016 season.

 

Liberty of the Seas should be based in Galveston from May, 2016. She is scheduled in Grand Cayman well into 2018.

 

Independence of the Seas should be based at Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ from May to October of 2016. How did you come up with this? Just a guess?

 

Anthem of the Seas should cross over to Southampton for the summer of 2016 and she should return to Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ from November, 2016 and is booked through April 2017. I thought Ovation would do those itineraries, and then do the 6/8 itineraries out of FLL.

 

Grandeur of the Seas is not booked to continue with calls at Grand Cayman after April, 2016 at this time. It is unclear if this represents a potential re-positioning or just alteration to the itineraries out of Baltimore.

 

 

The Independence move for the Summer could indicate that Port Everglades has another ship if clues still indicate that Allure will cross over to Europe for summer 2016, possibly Oasis III.

 

The Liberty and Indy potential re-positioning will create a couple of interesting sailings from Bayonne Cape Liberty to Galveston for Liberty and from Port Everglades to Bayonne Cape Liberty for Indy. Indy would then have a fall repositioning sailing as well, possibly to a Florida winter home port when Anthem returns.

Maybe the other way around between Freedom and Oasis. I cannot see Oasis class doing a 3/4 day itinerary with so much to do and see on the ship. But I think it could be completely different. Why? The St Maarten schedule has been very reliable for the most part, as such I will go with Freedom from SJU (and making those calls to STM) and then Oasis class from PC. The question I always ask is why make such a huge investment in Terminal 1 at PC if not for an Oasis class eventually? If you look at the boarding system it looks almost identical to the one at PE Terminal 18.

My guess is that the "Anthem" that is booked all over Europe, along with these bookings in GC, are actually Ovation. Who, IMO, will be sailing from Southampton and doing the 6/8 itineraries from FLL in the winter. (BTW, the 6 night calls in GC)

I thought this looked like INDY took over the schedule of Anthem for this change.

I only base this on that Anthem is booked all over Europe now and the fact that you actually see the break in her calls at Grand Cayman for the summer season. She leaves these itineraries at least from April to November.

Yeah, I thought Ovation was going to be ready for early summer of 2016 but the website shows fall. Which ship hen goes to Bayonne to do the Bermuda summer runs?

My guess is that the "Anthem" that is booked all over Europe, along with these bookings in GC, are actually Ovation. Who, IMO, will be sailing from Southampton and doing the 6/8 itineraries from FLL in the winter. (BTW, the 6 night calls in GC)

Ovation is booked for delivery mid-2016, with no mention of exact delivery times. I do not think Ovation will be included for booking in the deployment season and will be released separately from the standard schedule.

Maybe the other way around between Freedom and Oasis. I cannot see Oasis class doing a 3/4 day itinerary with so much to do and see on the ship. But I think it could be completely different. Why? The St Maarten schedule has been very reliable for the most part, as such I will go with Freedom from SJU (and making those calls to STM) and then Oasis class from PC. The question I always ask is why make such a huge investment in Terminal 1 at PC if not for an Oasis class eventually? If you look at the boarding system it looks almost identical to the one at PE Terminal 18.

 

However MADflyer posted the schedules for Grand Cayman showing Freedom there through 2017. Oasis cannot tender so she won't do Grand Cayman and Freedom wouldn't call on Grand Cayman from SJU.

Wherever Pullmantur I going to home port Majesty, they have booked her weekly as well in Gran Cayman on 7 day cruises.

I've heard different times for delivery. The shipyard schedule sail one thing, the corporate report another and the website yet another.

 

I agree I think that Ovation will be a separate release as well as Oasis 3. Could they please release a name for her.

I actually like the idea of the oasis doing the 3/4 day runs.

 

It could be the opportunity to introduce a lot of new or existing cruisers to Oasis class who had previously been put off by the price.

 

Easily combined into a 7 or 10 day cruise.

 

It would certainly raise the average price of those short cruises.

 

It is all about the ship so the ports do not matter.

 

Only problem that I see is what do they replace Coco Cay with. Coined they do a cruise just going to Nassau? Could they figure out a way to tender off the Oasis that didn't take forever given the number of passengers?

After reading all of the posts it seems that everyone wants Enchantment to go to Miami. I pose this question early on what would replace Enchantment at PC.

 

In Terms of Port Canaveral I don't think they wasted their money again like they did with Carnival, I do believe that an Oasis Class will call PC home in the future.

 

Here are my thoughts of what will happen with Port Canaveral on the new deployment schedule

 

Freedom stays doing 7 day cruises till replaced by an Oasis Class

Enchantment stays doing 3/4 as these cruises are popular.

 

If they send Enchantment to Miami which I don't think will happen maybe when Oasis Class comes to take over Freedom runs maybe Freedom will take over Enchantment runs. I just don't see Oasis Class doing the 3/4 day run.

 

I think the 3/4 day run will come down to what ship replaces Majesty in Miami.
