Deployment schedule: let the guessing begin!

Recommended Posts

Yes, SERENADE seems to sail out of Copenhagen, Stockholm and Hamburg, on her Transatlantic in May she might stop in Amsterdam and maybe one

time in August.

Splendour of the Seas seems to have disappeared from New Orleans cruise visits in 2015/16.

http://portno.com/vessel-schedules

Buenos Aires cruise ship visits link I cannot get to work now.

Interesting!! Maybe they deploy ADVENTURE at New Orleans instead of SPLENDOUR???

At Montevideo still RHAPSODY is listed, but the Buenos Aires link does not work...

Someone just posted in the thread below (#83) that Navigator will be heading to Asia after April 2015.

http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1980250&page=5

I thought Explorer was to head to Asia based on speculations here.

As someone posted Navigator itinerary included

ST MARTINs in may 2015 .

RCCL deployments are subject to change without notice. !

Time is on our side. :)

We are just all anxious to book !

Im curious about the NAV one way repo to the PR Apr 12th.

It might be the 10-11 day cruise to southern Caribbean I wish they would do out of Galveston.

Or maybe It will be a 14 day

Doc, where did you find the NOS repo to PR April 12? I've been speculating about a repo. I missed JOS's repo from Tampa to PR last spring and been kicking myself for that ever since. I so hope NOS does a 9-11 night repo.

Speculation and lots of assumption:D But isn't this thread good for that

The last cruise currently is apr 5th out of Galveston.

If it is replacing the Adventure im thinking it will do similar cruise as the JOS did

Either way, good luck to you and all the folks sailing out of Galveston (as well as other ports). Everyone wants and deserves the best regardless of where you live :)

It sure looks like RCI is about to mix things up. Time will tell.

NAVGATOR is scheduled in St Maarten throughout the whole season from May 2015. ;) http://201.220.14.27/sxmonline/VesselScheduleCruise.aspx (sorry, very user-unfriendly to browse up to May 2015), so she should be sailing from San Juan year-round.

EXPLORER should be the most possible candidat for Asia and maybe Australia/NZ.

Doesn't seem right to ne with both Voyager and Mariner already "Asianized" (ethnic signage, bigger casino, etc etc) and supposedly staying. I would think a 3rd Voyager class would be kind of redundant/dumb...

Also note with the expansion of the Sydney cruise port with all the talk here on CC regarding having a bigger ship in the land of Oz (let alone the redployment of Rhapsody out of Oz), so rather than Explorer I'm guessing Freedom Class as mentioned (and hoped for) by the CC Aussie contingent. Flowrider would go over extremely well down under! And then the Freedom Class can take over from Voyager the current repositionings from Honk Kong-Singapore-Sydney

I'm also watching and waiting with great interest to see if in fact the NAV does repo to San Juan, and if so I plan to be one of the first in line to book.

We were on the Jewel's repo from Tampa to San Juan in May of last year and had a fantastic time.

You could be right.

But EXPLORER will be refurbished in 2015 and I assume she will get the Flow Rider. ;) But it might be that a third Voyager would not be that senseful, although she could also do some Australia cruises in Order to replace RHAPSODY.

I would not know which Freedom class ship could move to Asia.

INDEPENDENCE is very likely to sail from Galveston, FREEDOM surely stays at Port Canaveral.

LIBERTY? It is not sure whether she sails Europe from Barcelona again in 2015 or if ALLURE replaces her in Europe in 2015?? I hope LIBERTY comes to Europe again in 2015!!

But if ALLURE moves to Europe for a whole season, LIBERTY might be a candidate, although I do not hope so...

If, and I stress If, Freedom leaves PC she will be replaced possibly by an Oasis Class ship. With that, I can see a Voyager Class and a Vision Class still departing from PC (more ships and bigger ships as stated in a recent article). So if an Oasis Class were to be deployed to PC prior to the delivery of Oasis III ("Passion of the Seas" maybe), I dont see Allure also leaving Port Everglades for Europe. I think there will always be an Oasis Class departing PE for the next several years.

The other scenario could be when Anthem comes down to PE in late 2015 an Oasis Class moves up to PC and Freedom moves to somewhere for the season.

To sum up 240 posts for you...

No official word on the deployment schedule. Just a bunch of speculation on where various ships will sail.

I have looked for one and nothing.

Will need to look at Departure Ports sites for uploads of sailings.

If posted yet???

Remember cruise lines re-deploy to profitably grow the business. They don't replace one ship with another of the same class just for fun.

Confirmed re-deployments are:

- Anthem replaces Independence from April 2015 based in Southampton.

- Navigator moves from Galveston to San Juan in 2015. Replacement not confirmed, but will be Freedom or larger class.

- Rhapsody leaves Sydney in early 2015 and leaves a gap in Alaska too, re-deployed to Europe then Sth America. Replacement not confirmed, but will be larger than Vision class.

- Jewel confirmed for 3 runs from California in 2015.

- Quantum replaces Explorer from Nov 2014 based in New Jersey.

Ships known to be available for re-deployment:

Independence, Jewel, Explorer.

Speculation:

Independence becomes based in Galveston from 2015 as widely speculated.

Jewel does Alaska and spends Northern winter in Australia or Panama & Caribbean.

Or Explorer comes to Australia (most consistent with later departure time noted at Sydney OPT plus Nov 2015 Fremantle port schedule and appearance of Explorer in Singapore ports ship list) if Jewel spends northern winter in panama &caribbean.

What else do we know with some confidence?

Over the last few days Royal Caribbean have booked a spot in the Port of Cairns Australia for 5 December 2015 under the name Rhapsody of the Seas.

Rhapsody of the Seas is the biggest cruise ship that Royal operates that goes to Cairns now. From what I understand it is the Radiance is too big. The entry is from Darwin.

My guess is one of the Vision ships from Europe is coming back to Oz via Asia. Probably Rhapsody.

I was on Radiance Dec 20-30, 2012. It stopped at Cairns (Yorkie's Knob). It tendered and the tenders were very large. There's plenty of beautful sites and things to do out of Cairns... I would suspect this is a perfect stop to tender a Voyager or Freedom Class ship

Thx for the short list of what has actually shown up in port lists. I was unaware that Explorer shows up in Singapore... that really confuses me as I just can't grasp why there would would be 3 Voyager ships in Asia.

The booked spot is the Seaport where Radiance Class has not been.
