My DH and I are new to Royal Caribbean having previously cruised with HAL but we see this cruise going in May or August and the exciting itinerary and are interested. I use a site which monitors the pricing of cruises and noticed that in May 2013 the cabin prices were considerably less than now (for an interior about 800 dollars). Is it possible that closer to the cruise departure date the price of some of the interior or ocean view cabins will come down closer to the price of the cabins in May of last year (with HAL this can happen about 8 weeks or so before departure). I know there are no guarantees but wondered if this is at all possible. We do appreciate your advise.

Anything is possible.

Living in Ontario you are eligible for price drops up to the point of RCI's final payment so of you like the itinerary I would go ahead and book it and then watch the price. If you wait until the last minute you will end up paying more in airfare. By booking now you can take advantage go getting a better rate on airfare while still being able to take advantage of any price drops.

We sailed the Serenade (Venice itinerary) this past August, and there was a huge price drop about 4-5 mos. prior to our cruise.
