che5904 Posted February 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2014 They do but you can always just reinforce them with packing tape. Works great!
coldferret Posted February 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2014 I don't like them either but like to have everything ready when we arrive so I did purchase the plastic sleeves that fit NCL. They work fine.
Love my butler Posted February 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2014 Printed out paper tags at home many times. If you fold them over as intructed and then staple them together on your luggage we have never had an issue of them falling off. They always seem very secure and you would have to work hard to get them to 'fall off'.
roger001 Posted February 1, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 1, 2014 I just went ahead and bought a few luggage tag holders that the NCL tags fit in. No more packing tape or staplers.

luddite Posted February 1, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2014 You can use 2" clear packing tape over the paper tags and it will make them....plastic tags that are pretty close to bullet proof.
bguppies Posted February 1, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) You can use 2" clear packing tape over the paper tags and it will make them....plastic tags that are pretty close to bullet proof. This method is so much stonger than the ones at the pier, yet everyone makes the paper tags so much more difficult than it needs to be.. (the only way these would come off, is by being cut off intentionally) Edited February 1, 2014 by bguppies
HowardK Posted February 1, 2014 #13 Share Posted February 1, 2014 Last year I printed them on full sheet labels I purchased from Staples. I used the adhesive to stick them together at certain points and was able to staple them as well. I ended up sticking them on my luggage as well. I found they were more durable than the paper ones. kcwingwalker Posted February 1, 2014 #14 Share Posted February 1, 2014 And you can get them one here with the Cruise Critic logo if you wish. http://www.cruisecritic.com/store/product.cfm?ID=46 Would not pay $16.95 for luggage tags when the "plain paper" ones have always worked well, But the plastic tags do look nice:) Has anyone ever had a problem with their tags:confused:

At first, we were the same, now we are used to the paper ones. Most, if not all the mass marketed lines are using paper now and have been for quite a while. Grandma Gilly Posted February 4, 2014 #23 Share Posted February 4, 2014 Print them on normal paper and then laminate them. Punch a hole in each end, fold over and use an elastic band to attach to your luggage. There are very strong and won't come off.(You can laminate 4 tags per sheet)

I had some gift cards and amazon credits so I tried these at cruisetags.ca they are $16.95 (a little expensive) but are durable and won't rip off your bag like the paper one's . One more thing I don't have to worry about..:D..Oh, and you have them for life..Like your lanyard, if I had one..lol Edited February 4, 2014 by miataman19
