Family Travel Story Posted February 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I am sailing on the Carnival Breeze next month and for the first time in a few years, my DW and I did not book a suite, but instead just an aft balcony. I know if the rooms we have booked, there has been a DVD player. Does the aft Balcony also have DVD players, or does the TV have an S-video hookup to connect a laptop with? SteelerCruiser Posted February 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I have never seen a dvd player on any carnival ship we have sailed. That being said we mostly cruise insides, but have cruised OV and had a cove balcony once. I would say on the Breeze you would be ok with the jacks on the back of the tv to hook up though. Carnival_Brides Posted February 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2014 The jacks were disabled on the Pride--we couldn't connect our iPad or computers.

mgriffus Posted February 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 2, 2014 The jacks were disabled on the Pride--we couldn't connect our iPad or computers. The A/V connections did not work on the Breeze. bm6pm5 Posted February 2, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2014 There are inputs on the TV's but they are blocked so you can't use them. Have tried to use them to view pictures and it would not work.
Family Travel Story Posted February 2, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I don't know the answer to your question, but are you saying that the suites have DVD players? Sent from my iPhone using Forums I believe there was a DVD player in the suite on the Carnival Valor. I don't absolutely remember, as we have done a lot of suites on NCL Jewel Class and all of their suites did have DVD players.
Ocean Dancer Posted February 2, 2014 #10 Share Posted February 2, 2014 We had a suite on the Pride, and were supposed to have a dvd player, but no go:(
larkz Posted February 2, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 2, 2014 Who has time to sit in the room watching a movie, when you are on a Funship :D Me. I enjoy winding down at the end of the day with a movie, even on a cruise. I usually have my laptop, though. I've heard from others that the input jacks on the TVs are dead, so I've never tried them. Ocean Dancer Posted February 2, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 2, 2014 We were supposed to have one, a dvd, and brought Jimmy Buffet etc to listen to instead of Carnival commercials..was very disappointed:(
near the beach Posted February 3, 2014 #13 Share Posted February 3, 2014 The only DVD players I have seen have been in suites. Most of the ships we have been on we were not able to plug anything into the TV to watch. A couple of time we were lucky and were able to look a photos and videos from our camera plugged into the TV.
